How about this: The first DBL branded stone to be set, and it's done by the super skilled hands of our "uber-factory"

Look at the precision on the side cuts where the diamonds are set.

Check this out....to make the piece more..old fashioned(?) we used single cuts for all the micro-setting work

I noticed something super cool in the photos....the DBL Laser inscription reflects off a facet and can be seen in the photos

OMG single cut diamonds are a huge weakness of mine!  I would love a simple band just of them.

I really love that you can see the DBL logo in the photos like that. I noticed it right away.

That ring over all is perfection.  There isn't a single thing about it I would change.

I also spied the logo right off the bat.  When I saw it was a stone with a high crown, I looked for it.

It's beautiful, David.  Now give us a hand shot. (pretty please with sugar on top)

Firstly that is pure sexy right there..I don't think I have seen better workmanship anywhere...and secondly I saw the reflections in the photos too just on my monitor!  That's so cool!!!!

I would love to see one of these luscious yellow beauties with matching cut white side stones as a three stone ring.  Pure heaven!

I'd give your right foot too. On second thoughts, trying it on just requires a couple of days off and a ticket to NYC, so I'll spare your foot and buy a ticket (I need to go and pick up a few things anyway...)

I really like the single cut melée - I wish more pieces were set with it, particularly where the stones are very small: although the cutting processes are now so advanced that producing full-cut high-quality stones of 1 mm or below is "easy", the facets become too small and in my opinion something of the consistency in looks is lost.

The piece below has full cut diamonds until about half-way through, then they are single cuts. Because the facet size remains roughly constant throughout, the look is - in my view - better than if the maker had used all full cuts

Rock crystal (quartz), etched and carved. Here is the full leaf. Circa 1950, US made and marked "Tiffany", but not sure it is. Amazingly, all the tips except one (at the very bottom of the image) are there after 60 years.

What a gorgeous brooch, OMC!  I wouldn't have ever noticed the one missing tip had you not mentioned it.  After all, how often DO you find a perfect leaf?  The repair work to smooth the broken edge was really well done.  I can't see any difference in the finish - not even the slightest bearding, if that would be the proper term.

That is gorgeous.  Someone took care of it at least.  I would need a wardrobe of Chanel suits to wear all your wives jewels.

OMC is talking about gelato (or I think so based on that Wink)?  I love gelato

(sincerely off to use google translator as this is not a language I know)

DJM, unfortunately I think it is your computer.  I checked on mine and my other browser to make sure it wasn't cached in my IE, all looks good here.

When I'm not on VPN everything works fine. Clearly my employer has different thoughts about what's "work"...

No gelatos in sight, I am afraid. The best translation I can give is "A Gallehault indeed, that apostrophe and she who (didn't) write it, too".

In Italian, the original sentence is "galeotto fu il libro, e chi lo scrisse". For some context on the original reference (in English) - here is the whole story: http://www.wisdompor...Paolo-Francesca.html

Well shucks, OMC.  If you aren't up for a harem, you can pimp my ride, or my fingers, my neck, my jacket - whatever.  ...Just so long as Mrs. OMC is cool with it!
