The reason we have not yet posted this beauty is precisely because of the issue of fluorescence, and photos.
I'm very picky and could not decide which photos were best...

We need the diamonds to look "real" in the photos- to the extent that people using them as a guide for purchase are not disappointed when they see the diamond in real life.
Here's some photos that , to my eye, represent what my eye sees looking at the diamond at 9:50PM ( after sunset) in NYC.
Office lighting- hi overhead fluorescent.

Once any sun at all hits the diamond it totally changes color!
Little bit

More, and it goes off the scale

I'm quite sure the diamond will look different in candlelight.

But actually, this aspect may be attractive to someone.

After all they don't have to take pictures of it... sultan

I think that is very cool actually.  Fluor. is interesting me more and more.  I am finding that I like many stones that have at least a little bit to medium.  Jury is still out on strong.  Those pics look like a good representation of the shift.

It's absolutely wonderful! The ONLY thing wrong with that diamond is that it's camera shy! I love fluorescence at the best of times and this one is just exquisite.

I'd love to see that at a candlelit dinner table (ideally on my own hand, but I'd settle for seeing it across the table).

I absolutely love this one.

What a beautiful cut stone! Wow.  It sure looks different in each picture but part of what make its unique.   I guess a variety of photos gives the potential buyer the best overall view of the stone.

I got excited there!  When I saw the post I thought it was actually a new chameleon diamond for sale!!!

You know, this is actually better than a chameleon. Fluorescence "turns" the stone instantly, and has no latency time.

To get a chameleon to turn is a much more gradual process (20 minutes or so), and then it takes two hours in the dark (or scalding heat) to get it "back".

I agree with this.  I used to want a chameleon diamond but I started thinking like this.  I think I would prefer a strong flour diamond or maybe a color change sapphire.  Something that will change instantly with different lighting.

This is so cool! And pretty and sparklie and ohhhh how I have a case of the wants! I've really been enjoying "color changing" stones lately. It's like getting a new stone every time it is looked at.

Does fluorescence make a difference to price of stones like this?

In a sense, yes.
That is to say, we have to buy the available rough- including the pieces with blue to be able to offer these stones at "reasonable " prices.
If we insisted on no blue all the stones would be a lot more.
The stones are not "cheap" I know- but we're doing something new here. I would not expect to get this quality of cutting work on the lower price range anyway...

Great question btw!!

And now- the ring!!
Uber Double halo with a mess of single cuts!

I thought my fav of the antique-esque DBLs was the 1.31ct; however, now set, this little beauty is giving the 1.31ct a run for its money! The mounting is exquisite; crafted with nothing less than P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N. Kudos, D.  notworthy

I'm so in love....

*sigh*

I love single cuts and those are perfect for these stones.  The look is so soft - a great contrast with the chunky flashes.  Really perfectly done  love9

She's so pretty! I live the top picture in the most recent ones and how it shows that flash of blue.

Funny how something everyone seems to like makes the stone less expensive. I would have thought it was the other way around!
