Well it's not exactly one versus the other...but we need to consider both...

First, the .90 Cushion


This stone has a GIA report.
It's a K/VVS2.
I like the sound of that.
K/VVS2 all right, I like the sound of VVS2 after any color...heheheh

but when it's a K, VVS2 does not break the bank...

53.7% depth- looks like a 1.00+.....

The Asscher- well, Square Emerald Cut is probably a better desciption


N (like Nancy) VS1.
VG polish
EX Symmetry- which is rare in this type of cut...
Still, I was thinking that the "windmill" facets on this guy were not wide enough....

But maybe...
Oh- of course price always comes into play as well.
The .90ct would list in our store for about $3k, the 1.70 in the low $6,000 range....

Both are beautiful cuts, but the cushion had me at hello!  If I had the cash right now I'd put her in a pink halo.  GORGEOUS diamond!!

I really like the cushion! 

The Asscher is pretty, and for me is a "maybe," but the cushion is a definite "yes"!  That is a beautful stone for the money!
