This is an interesting combo- let's first get the center stone out of the way.
I can't , for the life of me, see this Emerald Cut getting a Intense Yellow grade- but that's what it got.
It's got Strong Yellow Fluorescence- it's the textbook example of "too much"
it's sleepy.
I would not pay $100 a carat for it.
The sides are another story- and we can buy them separately.
On the right is an I2 ( my grade)- you can see the large imperfection slashing across the stone.
On the left is a VVS1 ( GIA's grade.
GIA gave both stones Fancy Intense Pink- although we can notice a subtle difference in the hue between the stones.
The pair is $20k.
The VVS accounts for $14,000 of that.

I love this pair a lot.
They flank a 1.16ct Fancy intense Yellow

This pair are both graded "Fancy Purplish Pink"
One is grade SI2 by GIA- the other looks pretty clean to me- I don't want to try to examine them at this time of night.
Drop one and hours of panic can ensure.
The pair of side pink diamonds here are $14995 for the pair

I can't tell you how amazing these pink stones look on my new widescreen HD laptop! Grin Dang, these things are gorgeous.

I don't care for the first yellow - the cut looks a little bit odd to me (in high definition widescreen). I love the combination you put together though (no real surprise there...)

The color of the EC in the first pic looks more deep than intense to me and I can see the color difference between the sides - the right one is pinker.  What's with the obvious "X" in the EC?  It looks like an attempt to fix an asymmetry.

I have nothing bad to say about the second pic, they look great together and the color is nice.

I have to agree with Jen, the difference on this with a full HD screen and other screens is huge really.  I couldn't believe the change in view from my old laptop to my new.  Even my HD tablet in't as good as the beast machine... like looking at the jewels for the first time Grin

That said, I do not care for the first three at all really.  The emerald has an odd color to it and the cut is not what I like in emerald cuts.  The side stones (even ignoring the I2 clarity) really do not speak to me.  They are a bit off in both shade and seemingly the size & shape.  One looks like a squat rectangle while the other looks like a square.  I'd pass on all 3.

The 2nd set is just lovely though.  I like the color of everything together.  Reminds me of a beautiful easter basked with the colors and in a good way too.

I canīt believe Iīm saying this, but the first Emerald looks too yellow to me. I didnīt think Iīd ever think that... The sides look beautiful to me, but the second combo looks absolutely amazing!! (and I agree the sidestones look better matched in color)

I think I agree with the rest of you.  The first large yellow almost looks brown/orangey on my computer.  (could be me).  Although i would pay $100 a ct just to own a diamond that big! hahaha.
The 14k pink (on the left) is a nice stone but the the I2 - not so nice with that large slash in it.

The second set seems to flow better.  Similar cuts and sparkle and the tones on the yellow and pink are beautiful.  I think together they would make a beautiful piece!   How big are those pinks in the second picture?

Personally I like thew way the Emerald is cut. Of course that's a very personal matter.
But that's not the problem with the stone- the ultra strong Yellow Fluorescence does two things here:
1) changes the yellow color in normal room lighting- in a very negative manner
2) makes the stone dull- if you have ever read me write about "bad" Fluorescence - this is it.

I am really loving the second combo.....

The FIY EC is almost orangey to me.... to bad it's a dull stone  Undecided. As for the second combo... Me likey!

Webmistress, you really need to change your avatar.... everytime I see that awesome piece of finger realestate, it makes me want to upgrade my EC to one like yours..   Grin

I like the 2nd set.  But on the pinks, it almost looks like I can see the white background throught the stones?

The 1st set, I might consider the VVS pink but would need more pics.  14k is a lot to not be sure about.

I'll try to get some more photos- but i can say they are incredibly bright pink- so they do reflect back some white light- which might be what you're seeing but also- it's a difficult capturing the essence of the personality in the box.
