Oh, dear... Poor David! He is so gullible. Makes me think of dear, sweet Jack, who went into town with his widowed mother's cow and traded it for a handful of "magic beans." I wonder what David traded for these "orange diamonds." Doesn't he know that diamonds are supposed to be clear/transparent??? And shaped like kites???
How mean people are, to take advantage of a good soul like our Mr. Friedlander. For shame!!!
Well, I, for one, feel as if I am duty-bound to help out, here. I volunteer to take one or two of those orange "magic bean," supposed-diamond-wanna-be-s, off his hands. Oh, heck... I can even take all of them! I am feeling charitable. Christmas spirit and all. Ho, ho, ho.
The world is filled with such terrible confidence men! Such mountebanks! Such reprehensible chicanery!!!
Oh, ummm, and if I plant one of the little stones in the ground, do you think that it will grow a magical diamond beanstalk plant?
