David: The photos are wonderful, any rounds , or are they all radiants and heart shaped?
Happy New Year to all!
Rio
Re: New Parcels of Yellow Diamonds for Earrings and...... - Diamondsbylauren Happy New year to you Rio! No rounds in this bunch... Actually round diamonds in this color are incredibly rare. Generally the cut of a round works against the diamond projecting it's color. Basically, a round brilliant looks as colorless as possible by design. SO- After looking over all the parcels, I have eliminated the entire four stone group. They are imperfect....... and not nearly priced well enough to compensate for that fact. I don't mind "imperfect" diamonds if the price makes them a real bargain. I use the quotes around the word "imperfect" because it has such a negative connotation. When I was learning to grade diamonds, the ones with spots , or "gletzes" or white thingies inside were far more interesting than the boring VVS's. The conversation about grading was moved here

Hey all! Here's four of the 1 carat plus diamonds we're considering Remember, there's no GIA reports ( yet ) on these stones.....so we have to consider very carefully. Hi David Happy New Year to you and your family wishing you all health happiness and wealth for 2009. I love the heart and the long legged rad underneath do you have a price for them yet? Kindest regards Foxylady Sue.

Hi David Happy New Year to you and your family wishing you all health happiness and wealth for 2009. I love the heart and the long legged rad underneath do you have a price for them yet? Kindest regards Foxylady Sue. Thank you Sue-what a lovely sentiment- same to you and your family! The heart shape is actually 1.52 carats. The long legged stone is 1.01cts. I'm working on the price with the cutter. I hope to be able to offer a "Pre-GIA" forum special price of $2800 per carat for those who buy stones before we send them off to GIA. The GIA report will be $150 additional if requested. That would make the price of the heart shape $4256 ( 1.52 x 2800) The price applies to anyone reading this, paid by bank wire transfer. For buyers wishing to pay by credit card, the price is $2900 per carat.
