HI everyone!
This is an unusual pair. They look almost like fancy yellow in some of the pics- but they don;t broadcast that yellow in person all that much- the cutter, Yoram, felt they are K-L...I see them a little darker...

What do you think- keep them together and make earrings,  or separate them at birth, and make two smaller rings

They are just so beautiful, it seems a shame to split them up. I actually think I'd leave them as loose stones, and see what interested clients want to do with them. I'd love them as earrings personally, or as side stones for the Biggest Cushion Ever in a three stone ring that you could see from space..  Wink

Since my dream would be to make some earrings out of stones cut like this, I would want that.  They'd make for some lovely halos.

However Jen is very practical and wise on her answer.  Really I am very torn between the two.  Smaller rings would be nice for those looking for a lovely stone like this in a smaller size.

What I wish I could do is get these for myself, but I have to wait a while thanks to that pretty pink ring Wink

Arrrgggh! More gorgeous diamonds.  I do think they look darker than K-L.  They would look nice in a set of earrings.

Wow those are beautiful!  I love them!
You know your client base better then anyone.  I think they would make incredible earrings... just simple and as is.  They each would also make beautiful rings.  Halo would be lovely but I would love one single stone in a low profile setting!

I work with a lady who has two stones in one ring similar in size - a real antique ring and it looks beautiful, If i had both i would try and put them together in one ring - antique style maybe filigree etc.  I would want to see them sparkle all day and I can do that if they are in my ears!

If they do split up please let me know what you are going to price it at!

I guess that wasn't much help  Huh?

I vote for earrings!  But I also like Jen's idea of the ring you can see from space!   Grin

oh I LURVE those toi et moi rings!  That would be gorgeous.  I know often they use two different colored stones, but I've seen them a few times with matching stones and I hands down prefer that.  I do like them better with delicate vintage settings though.  But a modern play on that with some diamonds down the shank would be divine!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

I'm torn.

Earrings would be fabulous. But then you couldn't see them without staring in a mirror constantly.

Smaller rings would also be fabulous and would be fantastic for a lovely RHR. These are new OMB's right? Not antique old cuts? I'd love to see them in a very antique looking setting though. Perhaps something like decodiamond posted in her "Fancy Yellow Old Mine Cut?" thread or something like:

Just very detailed and antique-y.

OOH.  I like Dove's idea the best- one 'o' them OMBs would look fantastic in an antique setting like that!

Is it too early to start sitting on Santa's lap??  (I may have to stay there for awhile, heh heh)

Don't break them up. They might make great side stones but even better earrings! Love them.

I took some new photos of R4305 pair.

from behind

Anyway, at this point I started thinking ( usually a dangerous event) how would these stones look flanking another stone with more of a yellow color.
Set all three in yellow gold....

I'm the dissenter of the group but I don't mind as this is totally opinion based.  I say no to the pair.  The feel of the cuts are different and that's why I say no.  I also would wish for a bigger difference in color or that they were the same color (give or take a little).

I love these diamonds totally and honestly they would make for a fine ring, I'm just being super picky Smiley

I really do love them all though.
