So here's the story....
We had an order for a halo ring with a cushion center.
Somehow in the rush we made a halo....but the wrong style.

They got the ring, loved the stone, but the style was wrong.......

We pulled the center out...now what to do with the "mistake" ring.......

How about adding pink gold prongs, and setting this stone into ti, which happens to fit perfectly!

I think it looks pretty sharp the way it is!  I don't see a need to change to pink prongs.

i don't think the pink prongs compliment the diamond. yellow would be better. nice ring otherwise.

When I went to the factory to show them the mistake, the guy felt terrible!

It was his idea to put the pink gold on....but I am very happy with the results.....

saqsay1- the difference between yellow and pink is hard to notice- especially in such a small application....

I think it looks fabulous. You know we are seeing it HUGE. When you see this on a hand, it's pretty hard to tell. But brown and pink are close to the same color on the color wheel.

I hope you didn't give him too hard a time, because this is a really beautiful ring! Happy accident.

You don't stand corrected saqsay1. You simply have a different opinion. There is nothing wrong with preferring yellow gold prongs.

I think it's the yellow in this one that makes it a really bright, pretty brown.

+1WM- saqsay, I so very much appreciate you  being honest, and saying what you think!!

I do believe that it's really hard to see the difference between yellow and pink in such a small application of metal- but nonetheless, if it was going to be your ring, we'd change the prongs to yellow!!

I thought the prongs were yellow at first glance.  My brown RB is set with yellow prongs and it looks similar if you don't linger on the photo.

I really want to like the pink prongs, but imho there re too many colors going on. I know they are small, but i do think yellow prongs would be nicer.  Lovely ring though.

I wish it were me.   Sighhhhhh.
By the way David I love the pink prongs I think they set off the colour of the diamond beautifully.
