I don't usually go for pink sapphires, but that is gorgeous!!  Definitely double claws and step-cut half moons!

Crikey I go to work for a day and come back to find David`s dazzled everybody with pink sapphires and a bucket full of lemony diamonds.
Panicking now because heaven`s knows what I`ll miss when I`m on my holiday !

I want that one in a split shank halo, where the shanks cross over, if that makes sense. I think it's Catmom who has a stunning blue sapphire set that way. I love it!

Oh I`ve seen a setting which would be perfect for that pink sapphire. Let me see if I can find it.

I couldn't find it! I did a google image search and found something similar (not with a sapphire).
The DBL version with that sapphire would stop traffic, I suspect.

Jen

ETA Ronda found it! Thanks.

david david Question... I saw that this sapphire has a GIA report to assure the buyer that it's natural.  I guess I didn't realize GIA graded gemstones! I have seen gemstones by GTSA, ASTG or something (I know I'm way off base, but that 7 carat blue sapphire you had with 2 white EC had some sort of report).

Is it common for GIA to provide reports on gemstones and what is that one gemstone report I'm thinking of...

Gorgeous sapphires, David!  Cheesy  I love that you're carrying them!  The pink is the same shape as my lavender sapphire.

David, I think the pink sapphire would look stunning in a setting like Catmom's. You just couldn't go wrong with that. Makes the sapphire the star of the show, while adding a lovely design twist and some diamonds!

Great question Snooper!
I do love the GIA report for colored stones...the one on the large Sapphire from last year was an AGTA report

MMMMmmmmmm!

I love sapphires-- pink as well as blue.

I say half moons for the cushion.

I'm not sure about the setting for the blue EC, since it has that long, narrow profile.    I just can't think of what would work best.

Couple of years ago, when I was searching for my sapphire rhr, I saw one with a similar shape and sized sapphire (the blue EC). It was set with rb sides, probably about .6oct each. Not something I'd have thought of but it was knock out. Beyond beautiful. I'd have grabbed it, but the quality of the sapphire wasn't great and the jeweller wasn't up for finding a better stone.

The design worked surprisingly well. If it was described to me, I'd pass because that isn't a combination that appeals to me in theory but in real life? I could have cried when I had to move on!

That pink is stunning David! Not only do you have superb taste in choosing diamonds but now I see you have it as well in choosing sapphires! Would you ever buy a yellow or orange sapphire? or would you consider it a conflict of interest, the yellow, because of all the yellow diamonds you offer?

Hey Jen, Funny ytou should mention that- here's a vivid yellow radiant set between rounds..

Big red- I do not see it as a conflict of interest- If we do expand further into Sapphires, orange and yellow would seem to be natural selections!
I think people looking for diamonds, and people looking for sapphires are two separate groups of people

David, I love that picture you took of the 1.25 G EC with the yellow rounds as side stones.  I was actually considering that combo before I bought the split shank.  I cannot find it now to post it, but it was gorgeous, and something I never would have thought of in a million years on my own!

If that was true, I'd have sooo much more cash! I love them both equally. Good to know I can do a one-stop shop from now on!
