I knew that pear would go fast, but WOW!!  Who done it???

Dear GL -

Do you have a pic of the pear necklace you used to have?  Did you trade it in, or is this a touchy subject?

 Huh? Mikla

Not touchy at all Mikla.  I loved this necklace sososo much, but sold it on ebay in order to fully fund my upgrade to the Eagle, which is my absolute dream ring.  I will never regret it, as the Eagle is EXACTLY the ring I have been obsessed with searching for for years, but I do very much want to have David make me another after I've saved up again, either with a yellow pear again or white.

I loved that pendant GL. I have 2 smallish yellow pears in my bypass ring and would love a pendant to match. Top of my list is a bezel set heart, either a pendant or a DBTY but a yellow pear is next on the list.
It was a stunner !

Diamonds are like people, put them under a microscope and you`ll always see a flaw but hold them up to the Sun and each and every one is beautiful.

Thanks Lynne!  It does make me a little sad looking at it again, but my plan since I saw the Eagle has been to rebuild my collection from the basics up and then add only pieces I will keep forever.  Another pear like this is absolutely next on the list!!  I think was fairly close in size to the pear that just sold.  I soooo wonder what the new owner is going with it!!  I am sure this EC is going to be done in a heart beat too!

GL, sounds like you have a GREAT plan.

I'm glad the pear is gone.  Saves me from suffering.  Grin

Hi Everybody,
this one had me at hello.  When you're looking for diamonds, size is around 1.00 to 1.10 seem to be much more common than sizes between 1.25 and 1.45.
So, when I noticed the size marked on the parcel paper, 1.36 carats, I immediately wanted to see the stone

As soon as I did, it had me.
The large corners give it an awesome shape.
The 62.9% depth does two amazing things here:
1) the Diamond looks like a carat and a half stone
2) this depth also accentuates the steps, visually.

As you can see- the polish and symmetry are very good on the GIA report.  Of course, you can see how good the symmetry is looking at this emerald cut diamond in these ultra close-up photos

This Diamond has a totally benign black carbon spot.
