That's gorgeous! Is it a Daussi ring, or did we make this one? It's lovely, the stones are incredible.

I still so terribly want a Daussi ring.  I'd almost kill for one like this.  The simplicity of the setting is perfect for how gorgeous these stones are!

David, you are just mean, mean, mean  Grin  I bet you walk past Weight Watcher's meetings with ice cream cones, too!

Granted, the only Daussi I've seen in person (YET!!!) is my ER, but I have to say, they're like no other stone I've ever seen.  I used to think diamonds were boring!  Oh, and while breakfasting off Pearl St. in Boulder, I stopped at a local jeweler's to get my ring steamed, and in their "estate" case saw a ring that looked almost identical to mine! (Mine is R3623) The stone was a crisscut instead of a halo, though, it was set in platinum, and I honestly thought the lines were clunkier and less graceful.  It had a micro pave halo and shank, too, but I didn't think it was as nicely done. The stone was .72 ct vs my .65, but I was fascinated by the color..could I possibly have bumped into another L-color, light brown stone? (Mine turns brown in dim restaurants, but most of the time is a gorgeous, pale brown sugar color.)  What were the odds?

Nope.  The cut of the stone was reflecting the tan walls of the shop, and my skin.  It was actually a "D" color!  And the price tag..$6600.  I could tell from the sales associate's face that she thought my ring was prettier, too.  Nyah, Nyah!!!

So, umm, there aren't any pinkish-brown Daussi cushions, are there?

Interesting! Of course, now it's been pointed out I can see these colours. I couldn't before, it just looked yellow!
I'm highly suggestible.

What a beautiful ring.  I've come to love these chunky facets, and the color is fantastic.  I just wonder what the center would look like without a solid bottom of yellow gold.  I think I'd prefer a lighter color that allowed the brown and green tints to come out and play more.  Nevertheless, the overall construction is simply elegant and those diamonds are just TDF! Yum!

I'm more surprised by their call of "Fancy" vs. David's conservative estimate of Y-Z. I can see the brownish pretty well in the first photo, though of course one is always left wondering how much is in the lighting and the surroundings and how much is in the stone. Greenish - perhaps from all the vanishing dollars in the air at the moment, since Wall Street isn't too far away?
