No, we wanted more pictures. (Thank you)

Is that a diamond or a pad? Huh?

Shame it's a heart... but it's a lovely shape nevertheless.

I looks almost copper colored to me!  Is that how it looks in person, D?

Interesting. I don't see any orange in there.

I too would prefer another shape, but it is a beautiful example.

O no no. Plenty of orange. It just does not dominate on the pink (or the other way around)

I just don't see it. Maybe it's my monitor, but it looks like a coppery colour, a pinkish brown to me.  Huh?

That's the yellow (and, dare I whisper it, brownish) of the orange...

Compare this gentleman... (or lady)

it's pretty easy to get it to look the same by making the colour more intense, and not coincidentally, it's graded fancy light OP...

Talk about a complex color.
This thing, in person, is sometimes "salmon" color- sometimes it does look a bit brown- and other times it looks raging pink

The "Deep" intensity is a tricky one as well.
Sometimes such stones are very dark- this one is.

To me it looks like a coppery salmon.  How sparkly is this diamond?  I notice you said it looks dark, but does it detract from the over all look?

I agree pity it is a heart.  That's one shape I just can't get into no matter how pretty.  I even have a beautiful loose deep purple amethyst in a heart shape that I won't do anything with just due to the shape. And I just love deep purple amethysts!!!!

FLOP is my favorite diamond color. I don't think that I would be quite as wild about FDOP if I saw it IRL, especially after seeing the price tag! Who knows...  dontknow

Heart shape doesn't bother me.

[snip]  I even have a beautiful loose deep purple amethyst in a heart shape that I won't do anything with just due to the shape. And I just love deep purple amethysts!!!!

Have you thought about turning it into a leaf, with a diamond baguettes stem going into the cleft? (and then use as a brooch, pendant or even quite an original ring)

Trinkette - did I miss the price tag, or do you know something we don't?

Nope. Just pretending that I have money to spend here, and thinking that because the report has the words FANCY and DEEP and PINK someone (not necessarily David) is asking more for it than certainly I would want to pay. It is all relative, right?

Beautiful, complex, intriguing color. Agree with the comments on the heart shape. That's a non-negotiable for me, too.

It actually came from a ring similar to that, but not very nicely done.  After a year of owning it and wearing it 2 times total, I scrapped the gold but kept the gem.  I just can't love it as much as I want to.  I don't mind triangular shapes, but the cleft just made it undesirable to me.  Can't bring myself to get rid of the gem though.

I really wish I could love hearts as I have seen such beautiful colored stones in that shape.  I do like the color of this heart in general and normally I dislike pink (blame my mom Wink)

Great colour for the right ring, always thought this FOP stood out for inspiration

this is probably a stupid question, but i know david can do wonders with bringing out the color in lighter colored stones, is it possible to "lighten" up this stone by placing it in a platinum or white gold setting?  I guess that's silly though, since fancy deep is "better" than just fancy, or fancy light huh?  i've always gone for lighter and sparklier...to me this does look really brown.

It is a nice colour, but looks a little flat, or lacking internal sparkle.  Maybe not so much IRL.  The light FOP, wow, that I would take in a second.
