Yes. "Both".
OMC: that's too funny. I, too, vote for the the pink halo as your DH's "first." Then, follow-up with a surprise yellow jacket.  Wink

Trinkette, I am sure you could have those same jackets made in pink or yellow diamonds!
Funny you should mention that GIAGirl.  If I hadn't been trying to match the pendant, I would have had the studs set and the jackets done in rose gold.  Now, my plan is to someday purchase a pair of BIGGER studs  Evil and set them in rose gold.  Then, have another jacket made in rose gold for these.  But, of course, I'd like some more outfits jackets for these beautiful studs as well.  Wink

OMC, I've shown the pendant elsewhere on the site, BOMC (Before Old Man Coyote – see, I CAN get the hang of this blasted acronym lingo!). I hate to be redundant (for everyone else's sake) but I'll try to post a link (which I've not figured out how to do yet) or put up another shot later today.  The pendant was my great-grandmother's. The center stone is an old European cut K-L color diamond, about 1.5cts, and there is another 4.4ctw of 63 old-cut diamonds set in the 14K gold.

I agree with David, the brown stud/pink jacket combo is really cool. I WILL have that "set" as well!  devildance

Thank you, Trinkette.

BTW - to post a link to another thread or post (assuming you use IE):

1. Move the mouse to the thread or post title (the brown text at the top of the post/thread)

2. Right click the text

3. Choose "Copy Shortcut "

4. In the post where you want to insert the link, right click and choose "Paste"

5. Select the text you have just inserted with the mouse (click-and-hold) - it will look like "http://something-or-other"

6. Click on the "Insert Hyperlink" tool (Worldmap + Clipboard icon) to insert the
Code:

tags around the text (or add them manually)

the finished text should look like:

Code:
[url]http://this.is.my.link.to.something-or-other[/url]

et voila'

Awww, thank you Annie! I absolutely LOVE the other style halo, but, I've learned that what I like to look at and what looks best on me, are often two different things.  For example, I've learned that I seem to be better off in more stones and less setting material. And, obviously, in this case I was trying to match the pendant.  Looking at the ERs now, it seems SO obvious, but, it took me months to figure out what would work.  I looked at all sorts of ERs – new, estate and antique.  This simple solution just eluded me.

The earring studs were L-color so that they would match the overall color and "golden" quality of the pendant.  FYI, this set is responsible for my new appreciation for yellow gold.  I've learned that if the yellow gold appears "golden" as opposed to "yellow,"  it is most flattering to my coloring. And, I love to pair it with lower-color stones, to really bring out the golden qualities.

SO, KEEP your high-color D's, people, I'm going with the L's! boobban

BTW, in this photo, you can see the difference in the 14K gold of the pendant and the 18K of the chain and the ERs (the color difference is not noticable when I wear the set).  The 14K is almost rose looking... and, that is about my favorite "gold" color.   David's rose gold is SO rich and pink, that I worried it might overpower the not-as-pink color on the pendant, so, I played it safe and went with regular 18K. The rose gold probably would have been fine.

Trinkette your pendant and earrings are just breathtaking.  What a wonderful pendant to have from your Grandmother.  It's simply stunning.

I too think that the halos you already have are incredibly pretty and they're my favourite design as well.  I love the way they look almost like flowers.

Beautiful.  Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful photos.

I got the kids a right click mouse for their Mac. Best of both worlds.

Such great guidance OMC. Thanks for that.

Love this. It's so retro chic looking.
