I wanted to start this thread and add pics of all the different color combinations that we devoted CDi'ers have.  Our most popular jackets with the milgrain edging come in many sizes to fit your studs and in 3 colors - white, yellow and pink!

Check them out here!

So without further ado, check out just how versatile these darlings are:

Of course this is just the tip of the choices iceberg!  You are limited only by your imagination!

Ah yes DJ I love my jackets and I can`t wait to get some ruby studs for them. Yours would look lovely with ruby studs to wear with your ruby pendant and ring.

Hey Pepe Awestruck - do you have pics?  I'll happily add them here.  And stop tempting me to buy more - I don't need any encouragement.........although rubies would indeed look awesome..........

I'm thinking some vivid pink diamonds studs would be nice. But I might have to settle for pink sapphires.

Penelope does love pink!  I think pink sapphires would be awesome, WM.  Some really deep amethysts wouldn't be too shabby either.

Wouldn`t it be cool if someone could invent a similar kind of thing for pendants ? Or have they already ?
I have a few solitaire gemstone and pearl pendants which would look amazing in a jacket !

Question: Given limited funding, would you go first for yellow (to accompany the cluster ring) or pink (to match the white/pink)?
The studs are definitely white - possibly as high as F, and we have nothing pink or yellow for earrings.

Pictures here (studs) and here (rings)

Lynne: I once saw something like that a few years ago in a very pricey jewellers.  It had a small hinged section at the back that you opened and switched out the gemstones - but those were loose gems rather than pendants.

OMC, I would say it depends which ring she wears most.  If she wears the pink more, go for the pink jackets and vice versa.  Knowing how much you spoil her, I have a feeling it will only be a matter of time before she has both!

Don't see why not. The only issue is making it secure enough; with studs, the post takes care of the mechanics. On a pendant, it would depend on the setting of the original pendant. However, say good-bye to the economics: it's much more likely to be a one-off than a repeatable piece, so cost would shoot up.

Actually, the mechanincs would be fairly simple OMC- especially if we were starting with a blank canvas and could make the pendant as well.
We'd do a "pass through" type of chain attachment. Slide the chain only through the center, and you've got a solitaire.
Slide it through both and you have your pendant jacket.

Of course, now that I'm thinking of it, having a discreet hole, yet one large enough to pass a chain's clasp through migh present some issues....back to the drawing board.....

Well *SNIF* my little cluster-style jackets feel TOTALLY left out on this thread! I know that I need a better pic, but, for now this will have to do! Here are the studs and cluster-style jackets that David put together for my wedding:

Pitiful? Geez trinkette, they match the table setting. They look glorious. The necklace, too. It rocks!

And OMC, I would choose pink jackets with white diamonds. Because that's what I have. <grin> It is so  gorgeous.

Trinkette, I am sure you could have those same jackets made in pink or yellow diamonds!

OMC...I vote for the pink jackets.  I think you said that she wears the pink as her engagement ring.

How about some sort of double ended clasp, so you can remove the actual catch to pass the chain through the hole? That way, you'd only be limited by the dimensions of a jump ring, if that makes sense? I can picture it, but I'm not sure if I'm describing it very well.

OMC - have you thought about asking your wife which colour she would like? She might have a preference.
