HI Everyone!
A few months back we got a call to solicit our diamond buisiness.
This is not all that uncommon, and the stuff these people are selling is rarely of interest to us....
But this time, the person who called and asked for the person in charge of buying sounded ...different.
Where are you calling from? I asked
When he answered I was interested, as the company is a "sight holder" - buying rough directly from DeBeers.

He did not go into a spiel about his stones....rather he told me a lot of things about our website- good things.
About how we would be a good vehicle for their cool and unusual stones.
Turns out they have some great stones....

These are all gorgeous!!  I have been developing a new love for these orange jelly bean types.  I am so bummed I never saw the Tropicana in person.  This should definitely be a remake!  And then matching earrings with the .31s in the database!

that seems like a really cool new relationship to develop D.  since they're talking about some uncommon, cool stones, maybe they'll get you some nice greens and blues?  a red perhaps?  Smiley

The pinkish brown just looks pink all the way through. Does it show it's brown tones in different light? I can't see any brown on my monitor.

It's beautiful.

I really like that pinkish brown stone.  I am surprising myself because I usually don't like pinkish anything LOL

The orangy oval is beautiful too!  I love the brownish greenish one as well.  So many pretty stones there!

I took a peek at this thread a couple of times last night as David was loading it.

By now, you all probably know what a "crystal freak" I am. However you describe it, I just love highly limpid, transparent, crystalline stones. When I see a crystal clear diamond, regardless of color, the diamond has my attention.

So, the first stone came up here last night, the 1.14ct FDBrGrY. Instantly, it had me with its lovely crystal and clarity. "Only if it were a little deeper in color, cushion shaped and a tad bigger," I thought.

 geni

VOILA! My wishes came true when David loaded the next diamond, the 2.06ct FDBrY. I love this type of color, size AND crystal.  Evil  You read my mind... Thanks D!

THEN, the wowser orange jelly bean popped up. Color anyone?  I agree, Annie, another Miss Tropicana would be delicious! For a twist, maybe this time the jelly bean could be set in a DOUBLE Princess Di type halo? Or a Princess Di halo with a marquise pair or pear pair (or triplet) on each shoulder? Or, how about a bezeled flower halo in rose gold? Perhaps, with colorless ovals instead of rounds in the bezeled halo? I think rose gold with this color would be luscious.

And, I think David hit the colored stone crystal jackpot with the 3.03ct FBrY. Just look at it...  devildance

Finally, who can argue with a 3/4ct pink-looking VS2 diamond for less than $4K?  freakout

T...you and I think alike in alot of ways. (Not to mention that you hate Dirty Dancing as much as I do...lol).

I can't believe I'm going to admit this...but everytime DW drags me to the mall, there is something about the windows at the Swarovski Crystal store that gets me. It's like a bad car accident, it hurts to look, but you just can't turn away.  Urghh.....I'm a crystal freak too.
