I was floored when I saw the finished product- as it was a total surprise to me.
One thing to keep in mind: If these rings were not attached, the whole concept is less viable.
The rings have to be positioned just so for this effect.

Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without

That IS beautiful, David!  Any further thoughts on having them create a notched/curved pave wedding band that could match and fit flush with Item SO3956?   weddingcake   Smiley
And what the approximate cost for that would be?  7

Oh that is SO beautiful!  The two curved bands together with the halo in the center look particularly lovely.  Will definitely need to add a matching guard ring at the first anniversary.  ;-)
Thank you for sharing those hand shots!

What is the cost for that band (platinum w/ full cut diamonds)?

HI!
The curved band will be $2299 in platinum with our E-F VS full cut diamonds.
We actually made a little boo boo- the client only ordered one band, so we actually have one of the rings in the shots available.
the ring is is 5.25- if we find someone who's size 5.25, and likes the ring, we'll offer it at a special "as is" price of $1995

Thanks, David.   Cool

Whew... great quality never did come cheap, I know.  I don't think I could get my fingers down to a size 5.25 even if I got back down to what I weighed in high school -- even at my skinniest my ring finger was a size 6.   Tongue

I'm wondering if it would look absolutely terrible to pair it with the .15ct curved wedding band in platinum here --> http://rockdiamond.c...-halos-or-solitaires?    Huh?

Is there maybe a discount for buying a matched set of wedding band and guard ring together?   laugh cross

OH - also, been meaning to ask, what is the width of that halo?

I'm trying to get a sense of how three the same size together will feel on my finger.

Can you tell I'm home sick today?   sad4  Brain... not... functioning...

To clarify, I mean what is the width in mm of the *band* on the halo? (Thus what would the width of the matching wedding band and guard ring be in mm?)

I hope you're feeling better HR!
it's 1.8mm

In terms of what works best stylistically- it's of course hard to answer.
When we show people the difference between the more affordable styles and the uber rings, they can see the difference.
Some will prefer the more affordable styles, by the way.
I would have to say my gut reaction would be that a person buying the Uber ring for the center would want the same type of finish on the band.
But surely there's other ways of looking at it- no right and wrong here.

What you say makes sense.  Thanks!  Fortunately Mr. HR and I have  time to think about (and save for!) what we want to do with the band(s).

Can't wait to finally see my finished ER!  Won't be long now.   Grin
