Hey Everybody!
Generally speaking, the best brown diamond selection is found in India.
Much of what you will find there is garbage.
Luckily, we have a friend, a very distinguished gentleman from India.
He seeks out the things we are looking for.  Those brown diamonds that have the beautiful orangey tinge-the liveliness that we love.

In this haul:
1.01 carat round
1.18 carat oval
.85 carat Pear shaped
1.08 carat total weight princess cut pair
.59 carat total weight pair of rounds

I want the brown rounds!  They are just the size I am looking for to put into a three stone setting that I inherited several years ago.

I am so loving these browns.  Is it just me, or does the pear look huge for .85?

Ohhhh, the little ones. I SO want a bracelet made with browns and I/Js...  Or how about a pair of dangly earrings mixing the browns with colorless... AGHHHH!!! Maybe if I postoned my wedding?  1087

David, What do you think about the brown princess cuts next to something like your #1962 1.07ct, F-color EC? Or would it be better to stick to princess cuts all around?

This is so entirely my personal prejudice, but I prefer step-cuts with step-cut sides and brilliants with brilliant sides (except baguettes, which I guess are step cut?Huh?, but which look great with most anything).

So what *I'd* do is put something like this in between the brown princess cuts...
