Seriously, I don't mean to sound so smuggy.  When I saw the subtle color and excellent cut of the exquisite 2ct radiant (my piggy bank could not handle the radiant), and David said that he had another, smaller diamond in a similar color, I knew that I was in trouble. You see, I LOVE my L-color studs set in yellow gold, they are beautifully warm and glowy.  I figured this faint brown would look gorgeous in rose gold, with the same type of subtle, warm glow. Plus, I've kind of had my eye out for a pretty oval. Voila!

I am very excited about this one. I'm not sure whether it is brown enough to work against some high-color stones, or whether it would be best with some pinkish browns, or a mixture.  We'll have to experiment (I hear David groaning already)!  But, since this was totally unplanned, I'm going to sit on it for awhile and let the  icon_porc bank replenish itself.

DL, all I'll say is that I made a purchase right in front of everyone and it was fast. Just like like last night. And, the ct. total was added to my Owners List.   Also, I am the very lucky and grateful owner of GL's beautiful .63ct yellow round bezel-set studs.  bliss

WM, I WILL share, that's half the fun. But, I promise it will not be this month. I THINK I'm going to tackle to 1.17 round first.  But, we'll see.  Ahhh, DL, you caught the cushion!  Wink

Someone NEEDS to purchase those yellow earrings.  Unfortunately, I'm out!

Dear Trinkette -

You sly dog!  The stone is TDF . . . I am very happy for you.   ura1

I love the "champagne" colored stones.  This one will be stunning in a ring or pendant.  Definitely rose gold.

Can't wait to see what you do with it!   vibes

Definitely rose gold.  I am a real fan (although I don't have anything left in my piggy bank to fund another piece right now).   Grin

WHOA T - you've been busy girlfriend! That oval is amazing, what a great snag! I've got lots of ideas too; I know it's not the same size as djm's yellow oval but that thread is good for some EW ideas.  Definitely rose gold for it though, yes yes yes!

And you got GL's round bezels? AND a cushion??!!  I do believe it's about time for some collection shots T! Care to indulge us?

Well, there was so much going on with GL, I figured that it wasn't really the right time.  I actually purchased her lovely yellow rounds as possible side stones. We'll see. Then, the cushion; it was unplanned, but met all my ridiculous criteria for a Trinkette trinket (more than 6mm, faces up large for size, not high color, very good or better cut, pretty stone, VS1 or better), so I jumped on it. I figured you all would figure it out.  But, I guess not.  And, finally, the oval, well, it just happened.  After I saw the gorgeous radiant I just HAD to race back home to see the oval. I was hooked the moment I saw it (and, it too passed the Trinkette trinket test). But, geez, how'd I know David would agree to trade the oval diamond for a few spinning plates and a coconut and grass skirt like DJM's?  I'm just lucky, lucky, lucky! Grin

As far as pics, sorry, but I don't actually have ANY of the stones yet.  They all reside with David.

All I can tell you so far is that all of these will be rings, and none of these will be totally near-colorless rings because I made a deal with my DH that my left-hand ER and band from him will be my only completely colorless rings (except for what I may have already, of course). This makes an interesting challenge.  icon_scratch And, I am definitely up for it!

I MAY have some sides of my own for the round, David MAY have some sides for the cushion, and the oval is completely in the air, EXCEPT I know that it will involve rose gold.  And, NONE of these are going to be built this month 'cause my poor shocked little  icon_porc bank has an empy tummy right now! But, I WILL keep you abreast of progress.   I'm excited about having some projects to share...  devildance

Dear Trinkette -

I have the same deal with my DH (my ER will be my only totally colorless ring).  Actually, I like the idea and fully agree with it.

About the rings . . . three stone settings, halo settings, solitaires, a couple of each?   Grin

I have to admit I really wanted to see your new oval in a rose gold pendant . . . sigh.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing about your and David's ideas for the round and cushion.

Best,
Mikla

Mikla, I'm sorry, but I like my pendants BIG! The faint brown radiant would work for me as a haloed pendant, but the oval is just not sizable enough for me. I PROMISE I'll make a pendant SOMEDAY!  Wink

You've got me there!   busted  But I had a vision in my head of a haloed pendant for that gorgeous oval.    love7

If I had unlimited funds, I would make that light brown radiant into a three stone ring with another light brown something haloed pendant and of course earrings to match.  I am just in love with the colors.   boohoo

Okay, back to reality!  I was dreaming there for a bit.   Grin
