completely gobsmacked by the last two rings david.  i'm so in love with that beautiful antiquey cushion, and the yellow split shank makes me crazy.  i'm working very hard on my friend to get it, just so i can see it in person, she just has to get it past her husband.... Smiley

Oh wow, that cushion is absolutely beautiful!!!!  I love the prongs that are holding it in as well.  That would be a dream ring for me I think if it were in white gold.  I am sure someone will take that one up quickly.

The other is very pretty but I am not as big on highly rectangular stones.  Nothing wrong with it at all, just one of those little preference things.  It is a beatuiful setting and look though.

So I have a confession to make.  I came here a year ago a confirmed brilliant-cut type of gal.  Yes, I think Asschers are just spectacular - but mainly because I've seen so few IRL.  The first time I got a good close-up of a Daussi-type cushion it gave me a headache.  I couldn't tie those chunky facets together with the sparkles at the ends inside one pair of eyes.  Ok - you guys have converted me, or at least expanded my horizons.  More and more I find myself drawn to the chunkier flashes of old fashioned cushions and stones like that gi-normeous NOM! 

Just thought I should share.  angel  Even  an old cat can learn new tricks. cat

I can't say I was a big yellow diamond fan before DBL either. I'd never seen a great one in person to tell you the truth. But once I did see one in NY with David, I was hooked. Of course, today's photographs and screen enhancements help a great deal. And there is you tube as well.

That em cut ring is to die for. Of course, I love it.
