Not to be a smart a$$ but 102*.01 doesn't equal 1.09

I think it's rounding Snooper. They are all around .01ct but when you put all 102 of them on the scale, the total comes out at 1.09cttw.

When we've purchased parcels- or groups - of diamonds, then sent them to GIA in the past, we've always "Lost weight'
How?
Say ten diamonds weigh 10.00carats. None of the diamonds weighs more than 1.01carats.
Some of the diamonds which we weigh as 1.00 carats will end up .99cts on GIA's scale. How?
Diamond scales callibrated to the thrird zero (, "One Carat" reads as "1.000" on a diamond scale)- while diamond weights have two places behind the decimal neccesitating "rounding".
Therefore, it's accurate to term a diamond which weights .999 as "One carat, or 1.00cts.
The sensitivity also means scale to scale variations of .01 are common.
In the case Snooper noticed, the diamonds were picked for
millimeter size- so some weighed .011
