Hi,
My name is David, and I am the owner of Diamonds by Lauren.
I've been very lucky in my life. I have been gifted with, above all, good friends.
My brother Marc assists me in the running of the company.
Marc has an assistant.

Marc designed a computer program- a relational database- which revolutionized the way we run the company.
It keeps track of all our diamonds, all our rings, all our factories- and most important- all our clients and vendors.
We call it Jasmin- when you call, we can tell you exactly what you bought and when.
we can tell you the GIA report number, or the UPS Tracking number.

When you call asking about a diamond, Jasmin allows us to tell you everything we have!
I'd venture a guess that just about anyone reading this could work the program with less than 30 minutes training.

Simply amazing.



Of course we could never be where we are without Webmistress- whose long name will force me to start using one of her nicknames around here, Flash.

Flash started out as a client.

At some point, after we'd become friends, she asked if she could use my website to teach a class.
Sure, I said.
The hook was in.

A few weeks later, she asked me to look at the site she'd designed.
Line and sinker.

The site was what is now Diamonds by Lauren/ Rock Diamond .com

This forum is a joint venture, as Flash and I are partners in this one.


Of course I always have the last word.

Thank you for those of you (KK and David) who helped me troubleshoot. Annie1 also said the photos had "lines" in them. We can't have that. No theme design is worth compromising our photos!

This orange background in the posting window is so weird.

That's Boo- our little lovebird.
Boo is very feisty- loving to get into anything at all we're doing.
This can be a problem when cooking, as Boo's already flown into a frying pan.


Imagine if Boo was here in the office while we sort thru the diamonds.
He's fly over, and scatter ALL OF THEM!
