LOL well I have started a diamond savings fund and depending on what David can get me and what price range I am thinking around the fall at this point unless I can convince my DH otherwise lol. Oh and I'm also planning on selling some jewelry I have not worn in over 5 yrs its just been sitting in my jewelry box. Loose gem stones too..I'm a gem stone nut too! LOL. Hopefully that will increase my diamond fund.. Cheesy

Like Tea and so many others on this forum we just got a fixer of a house so some funds are caught up there too! Its a money pit really but its worth it! The house is only 10 yrs old but in pretty icky shape. The previous owners did not take good care of it so we just finshed replacing 2 large appliances and we have two more to go! Plus we have to redo the floor.

So basically I am  pray for a miracle!! SO I can get it sooner.  I'm hoping hubby will get a big bonus again this fall so I can go sparkly shopping. lol

I love love love your new cushion cut! SO SO SO sparkly!!

Welcome Bila, and thanks for the wonderful introduction!

Your future ring sounds beautiful, and I can't help but thing of Foxy's amazing ring when you mention a heart diamond with ruby sides!  You've seen her ring I'm sure, right?

Hellloooooo back to you and WElcome!  I have no doubt that David will fulfill whatever you decide to do.   Have you seen some of the new heart shaped diamonds that he has just aquired?    Great prices too!   Also,  when you mentioned your dream ring, the first person I thought of was Foxy.   She just purchased another heart shaped diamond from David too and is having a gorgeous pink ring made.  Sure hope the DH will let you fulfill your wishes!!~Ronda

Hi Bila, your dream ring sounds fabulous!  I know David will help you make it a reality.  We are sure glad that you found us.  But be careful, we have a way of making those "future" purchases happen quickly.  "Future" for us is about 2 weeks!

Hi Bila!!! GREAT you found us! Us diamond fiends need to stick together!! This place is really hopping!
The first thing that came to mind when you described your dream ring is FOXY! Love that combo of diamond with ruby. Cessnababy also has that combo as well.

Yeah, the money pit... errr... the lovely new house is quite exciting! We'll be doing a lot of hard labor over the next few months. You HAVE to post in the home projects thread as your house progresses!

Hi ya'll thanks so much for the  warm welcome!

CH: Yes I noticed...2 weeks wow..eek I can only dream that it may become a reality!! HEEHE..Of course we do have to get our taxes done and turned in so maybe with direct deposit....I just might be able to do it....heeh  Grin

Anne1 and LJ: Yeap you girls hit it on the head!!  HEHE its going to be similar to Foxy's ring. My ultimate dream would be to get a 1.5-2.0 ct colorless or near colorless diamond with ruby sides with antique engraving..maybe a few diamonds about 3-5 melee going down each side and a surprise diamond on each side in the gallery of the ring. Ok now reality....lol. A heart shaped diamond from .5-1.25 in any color that is the most affordable for my budget so I can get the most for my money as long as it is very well cut and sparkles like crazy. TO keep cost down i would like a simple setting with ruby pear sides is possible in white gold or to optimize size I may just go with the simple 151.00 antique setting. It all depends on whats available.  And yes I have seen the fabulous new heart shaped diamonds David has come out with and I am floored and mind boggled..I want them ALL...lol. Grin  easterbunny

Tea: defiantly....I'll see if I can grab one of our digital camera to take a few pics of our kitchen in its current state...chaos..lol. And of course a few design ideas to bounce off you guys.  Cheesy

Bila, you KNOW David has a GREAT upgrade policy! Get one of those super duper affordable but GORGEOUS I1/I2 hearts he has right now, set it in that WG antique setting and then upgrade your way to that 2ct+ heart!  Evil

Would love to see your kitchen! We have agreed to let the seller stay there until the end of the month so we can't get started on it just yet... but soon... and THE HORROR THE HORROR!!!

Welcome Bila-can't wait until your heart dream comes true.
Tax Refund-that makes me laugh, I think we must be doing something wrong-we ALWAYS owe $---makes the sparklie fund shrink alittle--so sad Cry

Tea: yes I know he has an awesome upgrade policy, its one of the reasons why I choose him. Right now I am looking at the 1.0 VS U-V light yellow heart or G I1 1.16 heart. I would Love love love a cognac brown heart too...lol. But all of this weighs on how much we are getting back on taxes. And of course the house stuff we need to get a new water heater and dishwasher for the kitchen. So at this point it looks like the U-V heart would be the best value for the money but I have never seen a u-v heart and I don't know what it will look like in different lights.  4

CH: when you do direct deposit for your tax refund you get your money back faster! Usually within two to three weeks from filing. Verses traditional paper filing takes about 6-8 weeks when you file in March.  Cheesy

Diamondluvr: yeah....we cashed out some stock last year to finance some baby purchases, I'm hoping they won't tax us too much for it. It was only 1k, but who knows how much its going to be. I feel your pain! I hate it when the money for sparklies get spent on other things.  Roll Eyes

Yeah definately do your taxes online! And do direct deposit--safer and faster!

Bila, I've never seen a yellow U-V heart in person, but U-V is definately yellow!!! Does the heart (UV) you're looking at have fluor?

Sam..

Well I found the heart on the dbl site after some searching and it says no flour here's the link: http://rockdiamond.c...p;action=show_detail. I was hoping for a soft white like j k l or m. I have found some pictures of light yellow diamonds and I have found them fascinating. So i am not sure what to think or expect I guess I should try to find someone in WA who carries light yellow diamonds?? I just want to know what it will look like in natural light.

I know some shapes can make the color more vibrant, but here's one pic of my U-V with flur to give you an idea (natural light)

Bila, that is the heart that I was going to buy...so I think it is still available (not sold as it says).  I think it will look very similar to Snooper's U-V.  My last U-V (before I upgraded to Chi-Chi) had lovely lemon color just like that.  It all has to do with the setting...and David knows how to bring out the color!  I would love for you to buy that sweet chubby heart!

Thanks for the pic Sam it defiantly gives me a good idea about what to think...Oh..if you're free next week or the week after I will be in the DC area visiting my folks and it would be cool to meet you for lunch or something. Let me know if you are open to that. Plus I'd love to see some of your DBL pieces especially the u-v RHR in person!

KK: thanks hon...I hope so! I've wanted a heart diamond for about four years so...I think its time!

CH: yeap its the same one you bought and changed your mind about. I'm boggled though cuz it shows upon David database app as available but on the website its not?? I guess I should call him to find out.  I have naturally tan skin...so...I'm not surehow it the u-v would look on me...lol

He marked it sold when I told him I wanted it...but I think he has been working so hard on the database that he hasn't changed it on the website.

Webmistress, can you help here...?
