I have been utterly mesmerized by these yellow diamonds on DBL.  I am going to purchase...I need time however to absorb all of this info.  I am not even sure which level of color I prefer at this point.  I seem to vacillate quite often!!  Both the intense and the pale shades have bitten me.  I have never owned a colored diamond but have always admired the yellows.  They were never readily offered to me so I only own colorless.  I think the two combined, yellow and colorless, is divine.  This website is so full of information...I am glad to have discovered it...spent much time perusing the diamonds already.

Welcome Nanette!  Cannot wait to see what you choose!!

Have you ever tried on yellows?  Sometimes I think skin tone will affect which shade you prefer.  Some people feel that the lighter end of the spectrum works best for them, some think the more intense, others like a brownish or other color tint.  Of course, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them!!

Enjoy!!

Welcome!

I’m very glad you decided to join the forum.  I know it can be a lot of information to absorb, so please feel free to ask any questions you might have.

I know what you mean about liking a variety of shades.  It really does make it tough to choose.

Please make yourself at home and jump in anywhere!

hello  Welcome- I know you will enjoy it here!!  There is sooooo much information to absorb but ENJOY and ask any and all questions you may have!!!!

I happened to find DBL the same way.  Although I tried on a bunch of beautiful "canary" diamond rings here locally that were stunning BUT way toooo expensive $50K+   Roll Eyes  I was so torn- I kept going back and forth - colorless-yellow-colorless-yellow -then decided on a 3 stone emerald cut colorless diamond BUT I finally found the PERFECT DBL "yellow" diamond a few months ago and he will be arriving in a week or so.   bliss

By the way, I forgot to add... since vivid yellows cost like 10 times as much as faint yellow diamonds, we hope that's what you like Evil

Seriously, we have found that many people love lighter yellow diamonds in spite of the fact that they're less expensive... well maybe because of that fact

Hi there! Glad you joined us. I'm very excited to see what you pick out - the yellows really are gorgeous, in all shades, shapes and sizes.

I have a pair of light yellow DBL oval studs, which I love, love, love and they just make me crave more yellow diamonds. One isn't enough - be careful, we'll enable you all the way to bankrupt in no time at all! Grin

Welcome!

Hi Nanette

Don't believe Awestruck for a single minute ....... she's as bonkers as the rest of us!

Welcome to the mad mad world of blinging forumness!

I too can highly recommend the yellows.  I've got both the intense and the lighter shades and find the lighter ones more interesting because they do seem to change colour more (sometimes more intense, sometimes almost white) but at the end of the day it's personal choice and whatever you pick, if you're buying from David, you'll get an extremely well cut diamond that will knock your socks off!

Enjoy the search though it's half the fun!

Hello Nanette.

Take your time and absorb the eye candy. I used to have a friend we called, No No Nanette. I can't even remember why we called her that but we shortened it to NoNo in an affectionate way. So already I have a warm association.

I remember using the phrase No No Nanette when I was a kid too... I didn't know what it was from either (it was a roaring 20's musical production) but I just liked saying it.  Too cute, WM, NoNo!  Nanette, I'm glad you've joined CDI... please jump in!  hello
