I can get coins in 2kg bags (all crus) and many of the best crus - but not all - in 500 gr blocs. The problem with the blocs is that it's difficult to break them into reliable size pieces - they are really meant to be melted and recast into something smaller.

What sort of flavour intensity and % cocoa were you thinking of?

The coins sound ideal. The higher the cocoa and the more intense the flavour the better. Next time you get some for yourself, grab some of your choice for me. I'm struggling to get the pages of the website to load for some reason, but I'm confident that you'll have impeccable taste in chocolate.  Wink

The only one I ever didn't like was a pure chocolate 100% cocoa solid from Peru- it wasn't intended to be eaten, it was supposed to be an ingredient. It made incredible chocolate torte.

DJ, there's something satisfying about a small piece of really good chocolate, but if you eat too much, it's horrible. If someone made pizza like that, I'd be thin now.

LOL!  I have an alternative I enjoy: take a whole wheat soft tortilla, spread thinly with flavored cream cheese (I like philadelphia's chive and onion), sprinkle with diced onions and a light covering of cheese.  Cook in the oven at 200 degrees C for about 7-10 minutes.  Bloody lovely!

Oooh. That sounds nice. For non-vegetarians, I like chicken 'pizza' too. Take a chicken fillet and cover it with plastic wrap. Beat it flat with a heavy saucepan, then spread with a little tomato puree. Top with some low fat shredded mozerella and whatever else you like on a pizza.

Actually, shall we stop the threadjack of Saori's thread and start a weightloss recipe / meal idea thread? There's something incongruous about diet chat on a thread about gourmet chocolates!

i dunno how much of a weightless recipe this is, but my new favorite chicken breast recipe:  beat a chicken breast til it's flat, then coat with a mixture of melted butter, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper (just whisk until it emulsifies).  then cover in panko bread crumbs, bake in a 425 f for 10 min.  perfecto!

also, DH asked if i would make choc. chip cookies tonight after i made oyoko donburi for dinner.  so dessert was oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with 70% belgian dark, 34% milk, and marcona almonds.  delish!

I want to live with you. Grin

I'm going to try the chicken, maybe substitute buttermilk for the melted butter. I'll let you know how it goes. The choc chip cookies have me drooling here though. I got a Kitchenaid for Christmas, this can only go one way...
