I just wanted to share a picture of our black breasted leaf turtle, Yoshi.  However, I cannot get the picture down to 200KB.

Oh well.

If you use a photo hosting website like Photo Bucket, you're not tied to the 200 Kb limit.

On the photobucket page, copy the [IMG] code and paste it into the post

Photobucket makes it very easy!

Just select the photo you want to post, and click where the arrow is.
Photobucket automatically copies it.
Then come to the thread and hit "control+V" ( the "paste" command) and it will paste the proper code right into CDi- which is how I did the photo above!

Wow she's pretty!  Sorry that she got banged up before though.

I'd love a car like that!  Do you drive her in the winter?  That's the one thing keeping me away from convertibles.

Believe it or not it was about 20 degrees when I took those photos. We were on the way to work.
It's exhilarating!

That's what heated seats, hats and gloves are for!

Seriously- people look at us like we're crazy sometimes, but that's half the fun.

As you can see there's a baby car seat in the back.
DS#1 has gotten very good at saying "Frio" ( means "cold" in Spanish)- at which point we have to stop and raise the top.
Five minutes later he's pointing at the top saying "open open open"

He's learning both languages.
He loves the top open most times- especially if it's warm out.

I'm a dedicated "Ragtop" man.

Here's my first one......

I was looking at convertibles once and a friend of mine told me I couldn't buy one if I had a kid.

I kind of got miffed but I did wind up buying a small SUV.

I can't live without heated seats even in that car.

Our son is learning both English and Spanish as well.  We fight over which accent to use though (de Esapaņa o de Puerto Rico) but he knows a few things.  The best way he's learning is for us to speak in Spanish while trying to talk about something he shouldn't know about.  Darn sponges pick that up quickly don't they?

I hope that when the little sporty car that my husband drives kicks it, we'll get a fun sporty car.  You know one that I get to drive at home and he can have the SUV to drive to work LOL

Cool

Yoshi Olive is 8 yrs old.  She was no bigger than a silver dollar when she came to live with us.  Her mother's name is Fungo.  Yoshi is a terrestrial turtle and lives in a 4x2 ft live terrarium.  She likes to soak in her pink pool, chase after crickets, dig for worms, climb her rocks, chill out and being with her human.  She also likes looking at her sister cats, Baby Boo Boo Kitton and Penny look the window in her room.

Cute turtle!!

Actually squig...my other car is a minivan.
For some reason that reminds me of a bumper sticker...
Seriously- you can't have a rear wheel drive sports car around here for year round use.
Cold?
Don't bother me. Or the car.
Snow, Fugettaboutit.
Ya need FWD, or AWD around here.

No Manches

Lovely Blue Car Smiley

It looks like it is well cared for.  Nice to hear that it is rode in and enjoyed rather then just sitting around.

I love that the turtle checks out her sister cats...too cute.   We raised a snapping turtle for a while until he was old enough to be released into the wild.  He never seemed to appreciate us cleaning his tank.

David, please tell me you are not riding with the top down when it is 20 degrees?  That is insanity.

She is sooo cute!  I had no idea that turtles lived that long.  What's the average life span for them?

David I hear you on the RWD.  I passed on cars for that reason alone.  The sporty car my DH drives was mine and it is at least FWD.  I like AWD in this kind of weather I admit.

In fact I wish I had tld my husband to drive my car to work today with the snow.

I do keep looking for a cute AWD or FWD convertible.  Maybe some day LOL

In the mean time I am avoiding minivans.  Makes me feel a bit more young at heart to avoid one, since I gave up the sporty car for an SUV.

Nice looking turtle - I like the coloring a  lot.  Does she like to be pet and hang with you?

David:  I love the color of the car.  One of the PTs I work with bought a coupe in the same color - I fell in like with it then.  In snowy conditions though, she's fearful for her life - RWD also.

We're supposed to get more snow tonight - only two to four inches but my Crossover FWD is in sunny Daytona, Florida where the AM temperature was 72 degrees.  DF and his son are on vacation together and his son won't fly - unless his daddy is the pilot (he does not have a license).  So, they drove - took my vehicle because 27 MPG is way better than than the 13 MPG his F-150 gets. The tires aren't the best.   Wish me luck in the morning...

Thank you for letting me share my turtle in a diamond info sight!

Since Yoshi was bred in the US and lives in captivity and the vet says she is in excellent health her life span is about 20+ years.

She enjoys being talked to (yes, turtles have ears), going for walks while poised on my hand and going outside late spring and early summer.  Her environment needs to stay at a constant temperature and humidity range.  When she goes to the vet she travels in her little basket with moist spaghum moss.

She is a good little Geomeyda spengleri, terrapin.  Tonight she got some fresh cherries, she likes to eat red food, except her reptomins are green.  She eats from surgical like tweezers, similar to what we see all the pretty shineys between. tongue3 love1 icon_cat
