Thanks for the warm welcome Jen!

I´m so conflicted, I don´t know how I´ll ever make up my mind when there are soooo many beautiful sparklies here!

Like that 3 stone halo... it´s keeping me awake nights!   heart2
I think this is your answer then Wink  Really when I can't get something out of my head I know it is the right thing for me.  I have a tendency to buy with my heart though.  If it tugs on the heart strings I know I got it right.

It's not too shabby, now you mention it.  Wink  I'm afraid I'm not much of a role model. I made a list of things I really loved and wanted once, when I was trying to pick something. I've been working my way through that list ever since... Wink

Just wanted to add a larger photo of my ring in 18K Yellow and White Gold to show you how it looks.  I've seen it look even more yellow but this was not in direct sunlight.

Squiggly, I hope you don´t mind me asking, but could you share the specs of your YZ center? It´s so pretty, I love seeing it on your hand. I´m wondering what the dimensions are. Trying to get a general idea of what it´s baby sister Buttercup might look like on the hand.

Remember how I said imitation was the nicest form of flattery?? Grin

LOL well I love that people like the style too Wink

She's .93ct with dimensions of 6.34 x 5.15 mm.  The bezel makes it about 9.5 x 8.3 mm (this is guestimating with a ruler), so I'd say the bezel adds a little more than 1.5mm on all sides of the stone.  My finger size is 4.25 but IIRC the two rings are 4.5 as I always get larger than my normal size.

So I bet the little yellow sister would look pretty large too.

There are times when the size of Sunny in the new reset is almost overwhelming in size to me, but I am getting way more confident rocking her and not worrying if people think I'm wearing something even larger Wink

Thanks so much, just the info I was seeking.
Your Sunny is huge! oh and on that 4.5 setting, it´s awesome. I can totally see how you´d have to get used to rocking her. She looks fabulous on you, though.
I see myself leaning more and more towards a style similar to that.
Don´t get me wrong, I keep chaning my mind about 34 times a day, but usually I come back to the same few rings. Before I was kind of bummed that I had to wait until th end of the year to get my ring, now I´m thankful because with the amount of times I´ve changed my mind I think if I´d already bought it I might be regretting my decision.
Seriously, I had no idea how much stuff I really needed to know and think about before even knowing what makes me tick.
Lots of fun :-)

Always glad to help!  I really do love her so much.  Much like you I took forever to decide.  I had the stone for almost a year before I decided what I wanted.  When I first started I was *sure* I wanted a halo.  Then again even before I bought the stone I was *sure* I wanted a square cut stone.

I am forever changing my mind but I truly think that when you found the right thing you can feel it!  Doesn't mean I didn't' second guess myself, but I had a lot of confidence that it would be perfect.  Seeing the photos David sent just made me realize I was totally right!

I realized I needed something practical and elegant that was just a wee bit off from average, yet not so far out there that people would wonder what I was thinking.  I truly get compliments all the time from total strangers so I mam thrilled.

Anyway you will find what is right for you and I would love it if Sunny's sister went to a CDi'er Wink

Not a pest at all!  The band is 2mm wide.  I didn't want too wide nor too skinny.  This IMO, is a perfect width to allow more than one ring to stack with it even on my short fingers  Grin

hmmmm nice. I thought it might be somewhere around there. I have 3 cute stacking rings yet they´re all around 3mm and I find I can´t wear them all together without them being uncomfortable so I know what you mean.....
good planning!!!

Also, I saw the cutest ring ever with a 1.6mm band and I´m afraid that will be too skinny, both for integrity reasons and that it might look invisible on my hand.

My original wedding set was 2 3mm bands.  That was pretty much the extent of it for me.  My current set is a smidge over 6mm as well and 3 bands so I am much happier with that look and feel.

I have tried on bands under 2mm and while they are lovely I do think they really *need* more bands next to them for me to like it.  Total personal thing though.  I wouldn't mind a 1.6mm band for durability issues if it was built up enough underneath so to speak so that there would be no bending to worry about.

For me 2mm is perfect though for some it is too wide and others too thin, but a lot of thought went into my ring so that I would love it forever.  So far so good Wink

I didn't forget you.  I just got so darn busy this weekend with family that I didn't get really a whole lot of play time on my laptop.  Most of it was on my tablet which isn't as good for this kind of stuff.

I took these quicky.  They aren't my best, but they kind of show the way the stacks look together.  The total width seems to be about 6.5mm which isn't too bad on my fingers.  Much more and I don't really care for it.  I just like the way that this looks so you can see the sparkly band I got recently.  the other band is my old anniversary band.  It is too big but I love being able to wear both.

Well if you want more stacking options check this out http://coloreddiamon...ewels/so-excited/25/

Just scroll through that page and you'll see all the options I have.  I really should do the beaded stackers.

Glad you liked the photos.  I've done way better, though I fully admit I was in a bit of a rush since we had family in town this weekend.

Thanks so much Squiggly!
I just went and drooled all over that thread you sent me.
AMAZING.
Loving it more every day. I was actually thinking that since I´m kind of in love with a cushion I might see if this same style setting might work with a cushion (about a quarter carat, squarish, fancy intense... do you know the one???) and all in yellow gold...
It would be a little less angular, but I get the feeling it would look pretty beautiful too!

I think this is your answer then Wink  Really when I can't get something out of my head I know it is the right thing for me.  I have a tendency to buy with my heart though.  If it tugs on the heart strings I know I got it right.

Now, if my heart would just deposit some money in my bank account I could buy more of what it desired.

I like the three stone too... If you want it, YOU NEED IT!

I swear I looked through everything and I missed which cushion you are talking about.

I've seen double bezels on cushions and it is beautiful really... soft lines all around, but stunning all the same.  Doing that all in yellow gold would look amazing IMO!

I´m so sorry Squiggly I sent you on a wild goose chase!

I meant 3/4 ct, it´s that beautiful .74 stunner

http://rockdiamond.c...ow-vs2-gia-wow-r3588

and you´ve seen double bezels on cushions? anywhere I could look and see?

I went into the blue box store this afternoon to look at their yellow diamonds and their .67 ct cushion bezette was marked at $10,900..... YAWZA.- It was a pretty fancy intense, but seriously!! Atleast I got a good idea of what 2 shades of yellow looked in person. They had 2 fancy intenses and 1 Fancy yellow. Another local store had one they claimed to be Fancy Yellow but it had no papers and looked more like a WXYZ... and for a .41 ct they wanted to charge 12,000. I almost fell over... I can´t imagine anyone buying anything at that price with no GIA. Crazy, I tell you.

Oh no worries at all!  I do love that diamond too and usually I am not a fan of cushion (for me) as much as radiants.  That one would look fantastic.

I don't  know what it is about my bluebox store but when I bring Sunny in there she really does nearly look almost FY there next to the FYs they have.  I actually was wondering if Tiffany was "soft" on their yellows.  I am going near there tomorrow so many I'l stop in again and see if I can play with more size by side just for fun.

The double bezel I saw was on a pendant at the same store. Check out their website to see.  They've even done a 2 tone bezel which was interesting to see.

I hear you on the prices.  A local jeweler is not quite as bad but still overpriced.  They have 3 yellow diamonds all going for about $8-9K and every single one of them looks to be Y-Z and below and all about 2/3-3/4 carat with halos that woud retail maybe 3k at best (just okay quality).  All look to be very small for the weight too even with single and double halos.  I am so glad I didn't stick close to home or I'd never have afforded a yellow beauty.
