I thought it was about time I got on top of things and posted my intro, so here we go:

Well, my name is Annie (you can drop the 1 when you write my screen name - we're all friends here  ).

I'm an Operations and Supply Chain Management major at the University of Wisconsin, and I'm graduating in May of this year.  I'm getting married at the end of May to a great guy who loves science and gadgets but couldn't give a snot about diamonds ( ) - I know, I don't understand it either.

We'll be moving to Minneapolis soon after the wedding since I have a job there, and he'll be going to Grad school.

I'm sad to report that I don't currently have any pets, but I hope to get a kitty soon after I move.  I'm thinking either a Cornish Rex or a Sphynx. 

My student lifestyle doesn't allow for as much diamond buying as I would like, but I am the very happy owner of a lovely DBL Y-Z color, cushion cut engagement ring.   I also have a pretty pair of DBL 1/3cttw light yellow princess studs that I purchased from DiamondJunkie.

Wow, great pics of your ring... Wait one darn minute!!! When do we get to see hand shots!!!! 

Oh burrrrrrrr MN!!! I know you're used to the cold weather, but I have always thought MN was much colder than WI.

I actually tried to take some hand shots a couple of days ago, but they turned out pretty poorly.  I was trying to take them in my room, but the lighting is pretty bad.  It's waaaaaaaaaaaay cold outside for picture taking there, so I'm going to have to come up with a good place somewhere in my house.  I have class all day today, but I'll work on it again tomorrow. 

Hi Anne.......so glad to see another familiar face.   I too love your ring and I bet your college friends just drool over it whenever they see it!

Here is to you and your upcoming graduation, move, new job, and MARRIAGE!   You are doing the 4 most stressful things that one can do!  My hat is off to you!    Hang in there and when you become frustrated, a DBL sparkly may be what you need to give you a little uplift!! ~Ronda

Awwww... Thanks ladies!  I absolutely love my ring, and it's nice to hear your compliments - I know you guys have great taste, and I value your opinions. 

AM- I also love the high crown on my diamond - ::sigh::

As far as graduating, getting married, moving, and starting a new job all within one month goes, I am, for some unknown reason, completely cool as a cucumber about it.  Really, what worries me the most is the fact that I'm not stressing.  I'm completely sure this will change in about a month and a half or so, but for right now at least, these things are pretty far back in my mind.  There is a lot of school work to be done before any of it happens.

I love your ring annie!  As you know she was the inspiration for my Christmas cushion

annie1 will no longer be "single". annie1 you are a heckuvalot more mature than I was at the same age.

Ahhh Annie.....i've always really liked your ring......your ring sold me on that setting actually.  So elegant and stylish......sigh.  Beautiful.
