Hello everyone,

My name is Stephanie, and I've been a lurker here FOREVER...

I'm a previous DBL customer as well. DBL caught my attention many years ago when I frequented some "other" diamond/jewelry websites, and consequently, I went with DBL for my Y-Z radiant engagement ring when I married my first husband. That ring was sold at the end of a bad marriage, but I am back and ready to try again. Right now I'm looking for a (relatively) inexpensive anniversary present, as my second husband and I prepare to celebrate our second anniversary! I adore yellows, and greens, and oranges...oh my  laugh

A bit about me: I'm happily remarried, but no kids...we have two kitties and many fish, including a koi pond. I am a transplanted Californian residing in northern Colorado - I moved here five years ago for work. Speaking of...professionally, I'm an air traffic controller. I'm a cat person, a DEFINITE jewelry person, and a lover of cooking - especially low-carb, since that's how I eat.

Looking forward to learning and sharing with all of you here...I have already learned so much in my years of lurk-dom!

What are your current favourites, regardless of price? One of the things that is amazing about DBL is that often you can get "the look" for a considerably lower price because of some bargain that David managed to find, or the fact that the diamond has a little brown in it (which in my view often is a plus), or strong fluorescence, or...

That aside, I like the whole spectrum of orange, yellow, and green. Pinks, blues, blacks, and browns honestly don't do much for me, although the grays have been catching my eye recently. I tend to like fluorescence, and the shapes I favor are emerald (my e-ring is this shape), radiant, and round.

Nice choices for your favorites.  I'm a cat person also, I have nine Tonks and a Maine Coon that adopted me.  I also have a koi pond.  Oh, and a couple of love birds.  Good luck in your search for an anniversary present.  You'll have to post pictures when you receive it.  I lurked on the DBL website and eBay for years before finding this forum, and I lurked for about six months before joining.

Welcome!!  You do have fantastic taste in jewelry IMO!

We are cat people too.  We have Maine Coon and a rescued Norwegian Forest Cat.  They are our babies right along with our soon.  He just loves the Forest Cat.  She's such a sweetie and they are cute to watch playing together Smiley

Hi, ssrust, and welcome out of lurkdom!  Another cat person here, with 4 rescues and and F2 Savannah.  And temporarily, a koi pond as well, which a ton of finches use as a bathtub.  Drives the cat babies crazy at @ 9-9:30 every sunny morning.
