I am a dual assigned RCA (rural carrier associate) and city carrier casual from Cumberland MD.  The EMJ is the single biggest thwarter of diamond purchase plans...
My hometown is in the very western end of the state, all hills, and the attitude is more like West Virigina  than the rest of MD.
I am a widowed mom of a daughter, age 13, and am getting re-married this Friday in Punxy Pa. (Groundhog Day)
Besides the kid, FH and the postal service....my other loves are VWs, my two cats, and 3 rabbits.

My father-in-law was a carrier associate, too. In Alabama no less.  He retired a couple of years ago. Imagine being 65 and being a carrier associate in 101 degree weather with humidity equal to that.

VERY excited. Nervous. Sure I am forgetting something. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon for the Punxy leg, not sure if I will have internet access or not after about noonish....
 

David, my 20 lb cat and 20lb rabbit do fight sometimes, the smaller cat gets bullied by the bunny. Oddly enough, the large bunny can't jump high, but the dwarf rabbits can jump near my head.
Was your Bunny a diesel? (Want one..)So far, our family dubs are Rodney and Felix (our black VW beetles, or why we met both over 150k now!) Slimer, a 74 needing repair, and unnamed Bus, and 80 Westy that spent its first year as a support vehicle for the Tin Can Tourists on their 81 Africa tour. Felix is doing the Punxy leg, Rodney is getting packed tomorrow for Crater of Diamonds....My mind is wanting the roadtrip!

Webmistress, my regular turns 67 on my birthday, and has had 3 pacemakers...he finally got low option last year and takes a day a week off...he is covering for me this Saturday....
Those older carriers are some tough guys, aren't they?

Funny thing, he keeps getting called Mr. Mylast....his is tough to spell/pronounce, and I kept mine so that Maria and I would match (after her father's death, I changed both back to my maiden)...dad also asked that we keep his last name.
