MissD, my local charges about $25 to replace the small stones, that is stone and labor...if the setting isn't too damaged in that area..
A yellow will work, but just saying...lighter yellows look a bit more yellow with yellow prongs..and a natural blue or pink diamond would be a ton more expensive than a light yellow in that size...
Curious...why not a white center? It would make a great set with your pendant...

I have actually thought about a white center, to match my pendant Smiley I would love that.   That's exactly why I got the ring.  I've seen so many halo rings with colored gemstones or diamonds.  Somebody even suggested colored moissanite. I do notice though, that in a lot of cases moissanite is actually more expensive than diamonds.  I figure if that being the case, I am better off with a diamond, thought about a white sapphire too.  Thanks for the info on replacing the tiny side diamond, I have to wait until I get it and let my jeweler look at it.  Doesn't sound too expensive to do.  I can easily have it done when I change the center.  Yep, a white center would be more what I would like  th_AWA123112

Hey everybody,
EMJ, it's great that you have someone who will replace a stone for 25 bucks.
But it's also important to remember that many times when someone does replace a stone, they can screw up the entire ring.
We know from our own experience, having made many micro-set rings, that you have to be very careful with the entire setting job to make sure the small stones are secure.
What that also means is that any time you tamper with any part of the Ring, other parts of the Ring can be damaged.

I think moisanite is priced way below quality diamonds of the same size equivalent.  It usally seems more expensive when you see it in a mall compared to lower quality diamonds.  Think of the diamond solitares in a case labled "good, better, best" and the "good" frozen spit carbon freckled 1ct diamond (6.5mm) is $999.00 right next to it is a 6.5 mm moisanite for $1,100.00, but if you were to compare the same moisanite to a good quality GIA 1ct youd see the diamond price difference.  I didnt know that moisanite came in diff colors, but in white it appears to have too many facets to my eye.

Thanks, I would like to do moissanite.  Again, I'm hoping maybe the center isn't too huge.  Under a carat is definitely doable.  I saw some pictures of colored moissanite and it actually looked pretty good, but I would still like it to match my pendant.  I'm also thinking that because of its durability, moissanite is a good choice.

So true. And I can't say I knew this until I worked with DBL.
