Thank goodness I don't own a lap top!  Wink  I hate that I am "that girl" right now who hasn't posted pics.  If my FI hadn't waited this darn long to propose my life wouldn't have been this crazy and I would have had pictures up the night of.  Blame him....Amy, he has a lap top!!  Grin

Chuckle, snicker.

David will keep us entertained with movie eye candy until you can get your ducks in a row. We'll be patient. Then we'll send Amy........to take you out to lunch, of course.

Congratulations, by the way.

Okay ladies, here's the deal.... I finally got some really bad pics of my earrings and will start a new thread on those in a bit, but I do not have pics of the e-ring because it is still not set!!! I thought since I was so busy it wouldn't matter that by the time I had it, i could take pics and share, but we still don't have it.  He asked, I said yes and we assumed the diamond would be set SOON....turns out our jeweler is completely swamped.  I tried to tell FI to put the fear of God in 'em, but that hasn't worked either.  So, with all this time, and reading the split shank thread, I am considering going and picking up my setting and diamond and selling the setting.  I just am having second thoughts.  I will start a new thread on that too.... Oh no!  LCole that's all just too bad.  You LOVE that setting and you've been waiting so long to have it on your hand.  I can't imagine why it would take so long to set the stone.  If you are a valued customer, this seems like an awful long time to me.  Fill us in on what's going on and we will try and steer you straight Honey.

LCole...you finally got the stone/setting together and now you have to wait on the stone being set??? waiting I would be rather upset to say the least!!! BangHead....I sure wish your jeweler could get it in gear and get your ring to you.    Keep us posted as to what you do.  I hate to see you sell that setting, but if it is giving you bad feelings or quite possibly does not look right with the OEC, I can understand why you would consider selling it. dontknow  ~Ronda

LCole, I feel for you ... this is such an awful position to be in. Four weeks is a long time for a jeweller to have a ring and still not set it. So that gives you alot of time to anxiously await getting this beautiful ring on your finger (which you have already waited far longer than any girl should). Which in turn, gives you way too much time to begin to second guess yourself about the setting you have chosen and how it will look once you get.
LCole, your ER setting is devine! I know this because when I first saw it I LOVED it and I added the picture to my wishlist folder.  It is a perfectly unique version of a split shank ...
BUT ... if you are truely unsure (and maybe you won't know that until your current setting is finished and on your finger), then you should take yourself off to some local jewellers with settings that you are considering and TRY THEM ON. It will only be when you see it on YOUR finger that you will KNOW which setting will make you happy.
You are better off getting the setting right now, rather than accepting second best.
Good luck ... I know it seems like a hard thing to do right now, but you deserve to be happy.
Take Care

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement. I am just going to attempt to wait patiently for the darn thing to be set and then I'll be back with pics and a better idea of how I feel about it!
