I'd say that many diamonds of these colors never go to GIA- I'm really happy to have just about every letter of GIA's alphabet reprersented on our site.
I think this color is nice!

I think it's a pretty color.  It feels warm and cozy - like you just want to move right in.

This is so funny, because just this morning I was checking out the DBL videos on You Tube to find a certain stone I have my eye on, and I came across your 1.84 N RB.  It is gorgeous!  This radiant seems to have more of a yellow tone than the round.  Is it the lighting, or the fluor, or the shape that causes this?

Great point GL!
I photographed the stones together with some dramatic results.

Here's where you can see that the round might actually have more body color

Here's some "Face ups" in the same light- a diamond color grading light

Amazing- the round has more body color from behind- but noticeably less from the front.

Those are both stunners!  I'm not normally a big fan of RBs but that one has me won over - I love how it looks in your hand.  WOW!

Well, I was on my way with my little DSA savings, then the border collie - who just can't leave the horses alone - got kicked in the ear (that was a $1,300 hematoma); then, wouldn't you know it, he did it AGAIN to the OTHER ear (only $1,000, that time). Then there was the $600 vet bill for the cat; oh, not to mention the OTHER $1,300 vet bill for the OTHER cat who was attacked by a dog. I just can't get back on track... all my favorite DBL sparklies keep getting away!  :Bawling:

David, when you're ready to secure my little DBL savings account, just let me know; my cash is safer with YOU than it is with me... at least the vet can't get his pricey hands on it!

*sigh* The 1.84 RB is on the top of my list...

Ha ha ha, around here $4k for the vet is NOTHING.  Just providing annual shots and worming for the horses and ponies costs half that, and THAT is before the farrier comes for shoes and trims...  :BangHead:

The Border Collie is fine now.  Besides, he's quite the hammer head - he knows EVERYTHING, you know!  ;)

Watching that movie was a bad idea for me. I just realised that I want a pair on M - N pear cut earrings with baguettes at the top in the worst possible way. My M pendant shows its warm colour beautifully but it is let down a little by my not having earrings to match. I tend to go without earrings when I wear it, which is most days. I have pear cut drops, but they are G coloured and look wrong with my pendant. (Not the other way round fortunately, possibly because my beloved DBL pear is BIG compared to the earrings).

Oh dear. I feel a project coming on. Right after I get the ec studs...

I would apologise, but I fear it would sound a little insincere - I always have some sort of project in the works!

I am going to get ec studs (as a matter of urgency - I'm craving them!) Problem is the timing. DH wants to buy them for my birthday, I want them yesterday. We shall see.

My pendant is an M with a very lovely, very white baguette. The contrast is delightful and I would like to replicate the whole thing in earrings. I only ever wear smallish earrings, for some reason. I don't like big earrings on me, however great they look on other people. I just don't suit them. This isn't an immediate project, but now that the seed is planted, it's in the works, for sure!

Last week, I was toying with the idea of trading my pear up for an ec pendant but when it comes down to it, I dont think I could bear to part with it. I love that diamond. So the only option is to get the matching earrings, right??

I have an N colour diamond with very small inclusions(not visible to the eye)  of 5.62 Karats(very big diamonds) certified by IGI. Anyone can give evaluations, anyone interested?

Luca -  Value will depend on the specifics (not just the colour) of your diamond, and on the market you want to sell it into (locale as well as whether you are asking a jeweller for cash, putting it on consignment or selling it privately).

Apart from anything else, "very small inclusions" could mean anything from VS2 to VVS1, the IGI grade on colour (and clarity if supplied) is questionable, a 5.61 ct princess is worth less than a 5.61 round, a well cut stone is worth a lot more than a poorly cut one in whatever shape. And I could go on. Factor of 4, 5 or more playing with the factors in this paragraph.

There is a number of sites that offer diamond lists from various suppliers - this may be useful for you to get a rough idea of the range of prices given the variables above; bear in mind that the prices you will see are (low) retail prices, not what you will get for your diamond. Your best bet is to find an appraiser and ask them how much your specific stone is worth in your market for the type of sale you want to make.

I agree with OMC.The IGI report is not going to be considered accurate by any knowledgeable buyer.
We won;t be able to give you specific price- and I doubt you'll be able to get comparables easily- even searching online.
What shape is the diamond?

Both those stones are lovely!  My DBL chunky cushion is a GIA N color and is quite white in some lighting and has nice warmth in other.

The N colour 5.62 kt diamond(if IGI made a mistake who knows it can be more white, hopefully) is brilliant round, i think is vvs1 but i'm not sure because i don't have the certificate here with me. the diamond is in my home country(italy). years ago i heard evaluations of around 20.000 euros and lately i found online similar diamonds in karats and colour on sale for 50.000 dollars. thatnk for your help. I wouldn't want to sell, unless it is really worth it.....
