New Antique Sapphire Ring!
« on: March 26, 2014, 12:48:31 PM »
I've just  got my antique cushion cut purple sapphire set into a band!
This stone has been lurking around for far too long in my safe, and so David and Sandra did a FABULOUS job, putting her in a delicate white diamond band, set up high.

I'm enjoying her today, as she won't be an every day ring for me with the Squishies, and everything else that goes on here, ............

But for now, I'm a happy bunny with my new DBL Bling!!

Wow! You sure that is purple? It looks very blue - and very very lively!

Congratulations!

Ugh, Squigs you KNOW my pictures SUCK!!  Sadly, D didn't take any that I know of........ His are always SO AMAZING !!!

Sorry guys, the first wobbly shot was taken in bright daylight, the last two here indoors under fluorescent lighting at my desk. I guess she has a bit of a 'color-change' personality - here on my hand she looks vibrant and a rich royal purple,  but outside, she was a very bluish tone.
The stone is VERY deep, and has that old antique cushion vibe going on. I'll get some more piccies as soon as I can,.....I'm caffeinated, on the run, and playing catch up at the office right now,.....

Gorgeous color!  I love the simple, elegant setting.  I don't take good pictures either.  I didn't get the creative gene, I guess.   ;D
Diamonds make me jump for joy! :bliss:

Thanks M, Squigs and OMC,....but I'm a leftie, so I have NO excuse!!! I plead technological challenges!! I can know what I think is a well cut stone when I see it, but photograph it ??? Um,... you can see the results! LOL! I'm definitely not up to DBL standards!!

Again, more second rate piccies for Squigs - they kinda show how deep the stone is, and how elegantly its positioned over the delicate line of white stones  - as per, D did an awesome job!

I definitely see the purple in it now!

I will say hand shots - right or left handed - are harder to do IMO than some of the other types of pics.  At least with those you can use a tripod and just let it not move on the table LOL

So these are good!

Purple to the MAX! Aren't you the bees knees to have such a beautiful, lively stone and elegant setting. Be prepared for googling eyes when you wear it.  :tongue1:
