Seriously, DJM, D, I just ADORE this ring. She is going to flip over this. I'm so excited for everyone, although I'm just a little bit ashamed that I've helped myself to this unabashed sneak peek! Even if the pic is teeny weenie.

Here are the stats T:

Transitional diamond center stone...with a teeny open culet. There is a halo of fancy pink diamonds. The center diamond has alot of fire to it. It sparkles like mad with tons of spectral color emitted. It's .47cts but faces up much larger. There is a sister stone to this diamond that is the perfect match to this stone and David has (or will have) it in stock. I highly recommend anyone looking for a similar look to snatch it up. The diamond has a lot of life to it and you won't be disappointed with its performance.

Admittedly, I don't know much about transitional cut diamonds but maybe David can enlighten us. All I know is that this is absolutely beautiful.

I know!

My daughter took these with her iphone and then emailed them to me. I saved it to my desktop and uploaded from the attachment bar here. Any ideas on how I can enlarge these?  Can I save them to photobucket?

Stylewise, a transitional cut is kind of in between an Old European and modern Brilliant.

Ugh... my satellite connection is so S-L-O-W! DJM, if DD sent the photo to you from her iPhone, perhaps, if she resends in a larger file size (the phone should ask what size file she wants to send) it will help with viewing size.

From what you wrote T...it seems like the best of both worlds.

I'm a big fan.

Wow. That does face-up big for its weight. And, a big table for transitional. Must be gorgeous with all the FIRE.

I have an OMC from David and there's nothing like the old cuts!  We need some closeups to appreciate that facet pattern!
always saving up for my next piece!

[snip] It's .47cts but faces up much larger. [snip]

You can say that again!

Super congratulations - it's a great ring design, and the pink halo and transitional centre add a touch of individuality.

Well, no.

Just got a call from DS#2. I was worried because they should be here by now.

Anyhow, he sounds panicked and I'm trying not to worry that his tone is so off.

"Where are you son?" I ask, cutting him off.

"Dad...you're not going to believe this...one of my professors scheduled a make-up lab for this afternoon so we won't be leaving until after 5pm. (Its a four hour trip...which brings them in town at 10:30-11pm).

"Dad please cancel the restaurant there for me...we should've been in Maine right now".

He then says,..."I guess I can plan to stop at a nice restaurant on the way home".

ME: "Yeah great idea TJ...but you forgot one small detail....we have the ring."

TJ: "HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, that's right."

"I'll plan a nice day together tomorrow.  Dam, I had this so planned out it...."

Well in my hurry this morning I somehow missed the pictures.  I just saw them now and I just have to say it looks wonderful!

I am sorry it is being delayed a day though.  Safe travels to the two of them :)
