This is what it said on Leon Mege's webpage:

M i l l e g r a i n
Could also be spelled as "milgrain".

A decorating style creating a fine bead like effect on the top of the edge of a metal; popular in the Edwardian and Belle Epoque periods. The term is widely applied to the type of pavé setting that has edges surrounding the row of bead-set stones. Old wife's tale has it invented in Italy by unscrupulous setters in order to conseal the rough edges on their setting work.

Ha Ha!! I find that hilarious! However you spell it, I love the antique look it gives jewelry :)

I think it's a fancy word for a bezel.  I think I know what they are talking about though.  I have seen older style jewelry with heavily beaded bezel type settings.  I'll have to see if I can find a pic.

ROFL Michi!  Those dang Italian jewelers!

I vote that since we forum users are so good at abbreviating, we just call it MG!!

BTW, spoke with DBL and my RB will now be done with MG!!!!

Sounds like a great idea!  I will add it to our abbreviation list!
