Li'L BLOOO's BFF

Well, the decision is made.  After all the suggestions and trying every which way to see how best to deal with Li'l BLOOO, David made it simple.

The design that OMC built for me based on Trink's idea is beautiful, and if I had endless funds would be the way I'd go. 



But BLOOO is so delicate, less is truly better, and in this case David picked it out for me.  Not R1909 - believe it or not, that's too big, but the .15 ct curved band works beautifully, and saves a bundle over the custom work we were discussing.

He's such a good saleman.  He sent a sample for me to try on since I haven't been able to visit in person.  I almost didn't send it back - but it's in white gold, not platinum, so it's on it's way home.

Good choice!  I only have a plain platinum wedding band next to my ring for the same reason.  You don't want anything to distract from the gorgeous ring and a dainty little band does the trick beautifully.  The pair strikes a very nice balance.

Thanks, ladies.  I couldn't believe how good a fit they were together.  And, for an extra 8 tiny diamonds, we saved a bundle.  Truly a case of less is more.   But, oh, that custom design was luscious.



I think when I get the real ring - this is a 6  and BLOOO is a 6.5 with balls - the fit will be even better.  And I know the patina on the two will come to match.  (in case you hadn't noticed, I am a LITTLE hard on rings.) BLOOO has already been back to David once - we took her down a half size after she decided to go swimming in the washing machine for no good reason.  And  now look at her shank.  I am a really bad person to knock her about so.

Ok, they were made for each other! They are as good a match as you and your DH. 

I love how they look - I would say that the band looks as though it was custom made to fit li'l bloo, because it's just such a good fit. I'm really impressed with how good they look together and I don't think a custom ring would have worked any better, to be honest.

Miz M- that was the point that put a custom band out of the running.  I, too, couldn't believe how well they fit together.  And if David hadn't let me try them together, I never would have been able to see it.  He's such an unbelieveably sweet man.  

As to the washing machine adventure, saqsay, BLOOO flew off into the machine as I was loading it.  Unfortunately for me, I always mix water and detergent BEFORE putting the clothes in, so I had a mess digging thru the wet laundry trying to rescue her before she drowned.

Almost two years ago now, I had several accidents that really hurt my hands, and left the knuckles swollen and arthritic.  I never thought I'd see them get back to something almost normal, but here we are - and relatively pain free unless it's very cold and damp.  Still, on those bad days, I'm very glad David had me switch to a half size larger with balls - it does make it less painful to remove them.

So here she is.  The real deal. I only wished saqsay was around to do some creative shots.  I guess I could put them on Pink's tail again.   






I like this one even if it IS a little on the soft focus side - you can see one of the zillion blue sparks that BLOO throws out when she's clean and happy.  along with the pink and the white melee's sparks.  It's really crazy in the sun.  I just can't see well enough to capture them properly.

prolly said it before, but gotta say it again, I LOVE IT.  so so pretty.  i'm still working with my MIL to get her her dream ring, but i think if she ends up wanting a wedding band with it i'm going to show her your set.  perfection!
