Even one of ours wouldn't stock those.  But I think it would be great for the store that is selling a $14K 3ct ring!  I keep wanting to go check it out just to see what it is lik.  I imagin it is even worse than these things!

Squiggs- you might be very surprised at how many jewelry stores buy this type of stone.
After all, the smaller of the two stones in the example shown above ( also used for the thick girdle photo) is actually quite pretty in the "face up " position.

This new parcel is a great example of how the world's largest cutters assort their goods.
For example- when I went through the parcel, all the cleaner stones were badly made- which the imperfect ones were consistently better cuts.
So buyers can choose, an M/I1 with a nice make, or a J/VS2 that's THICK

I can definitely believe that most stores would take bad stones like that.  After my experience with one mall store I believe they would take anything.  They even had a 1/2 carat stone for about $600 that looked dull, gray and ugly in their spotlighting!

I still have one family jeweler that just happens to be along the shopping area that I like and trust.  They aren't cheap though but they firmly believe that good cut is better than cheap crap.  They don't need it to be "ideal" but better than old fishy there.

Were any of the lower colored stones with inclusions worth looking at?  I know not all I1s are bad at all.

I would much rather have a lower color/clarity rating with a good cut any day!  Especially for earrings...
