Dear David -

How difficult is it to find colored side stones?  Do you happen upon these by chance or can you easily source them?  I would be particularly interested to know about trilliant side stones, in colored diamonds or sapphires.

Hi All!

We have had many pairs of yellow trills and trapezoids-
We actually have a D color Radiant with Intense Yellow Half moons right now!

Sapphire trilliants are also avialable.....

I have seen that ring "live" (and its twin - FVY rad with white half moons). If you think the photo looks nice, you'll be literally bowled over by the ring "in the flash" (sic).

Only problem is - I keep buying other stuff...

I just adore those yellow half moons. Gorgeous color. Cool shape. If only I had more money... (yeah, Trink, so, what ELSE is new!)  Roll Eyes

I found this side stone pic while looking for pics of blue sapphire side stones.  Pretty sweet, huh?

I gotta admit, looking for pics of blue sapphire trilliant side stones was more of a challenge than I thought it would be.  Anyone out there have pics they wouldn't mind sharing?

Great minds... Mikla, I've coveted that pair of pink half-moons for awhile now.  Kiss  Now, about these trill sapphires: do you have a specific project in mind, my dear?

Well, that's the problem, isn't it?  I have too many projects in mind!!!

The only all white diamond ring I will own will be my ER, but that would mean no more white centers either unless I can find some colored side stones, diamonds or sapphires.

I like this ring . . . but maybe with a colorless center and sapphire sides?

Mikla

Cool - really cool!  The only caution I would say is that that pic appears to be of one stone duplicated.  It would be nice to have a pic of both actual stones for sure.  I love the color!

In my little Mid-West metropolitan burg of 800,000 I had the honor of working for the "King of Color", and I assure you there are knock-your-eyes-out colored gems available in all shapes and sizes.  The hard part is finding the dealers that have the stones with the liveliness and fire that David seems to effortlessly find in diamonds.

I have faith that David has the contacts to seek these people out, particularly if it adds another marketable dimension to DBL.  Colored stones have been mixed and matched in items on a larger scale for the past five years.  I think the public and definitely the forum is ready to embrace diamond centers with colored sides beyond the typical rubies, sapphires and emeralds and halos.

I know I am.     hypnodisk :  After I finish the yellow and brown diamond sets, that will be my next project.  And the hard part will be deciding what colored gem I will want to pair up with a diamond.  Burgundy rhodolites....hmmm....teal colored indicolites...

heeheehee  want to buy some colored stones?  I got some earrings....          1224

Intense yellow trapezoids. I feel sure I've died and gone to heaven. We need to see more colored diamond side stones.
