I'd say retail $3-6k, depending on who sells it. Possibly (a lot) more if it can be traced to someone well known who designed it. If you are selling, it depends on how (trade in vs. straight sale, etc.) - bear in mind that scrap value is about $1500.

no. i'm not selling. i'm kind of excited about keeping it now. maybe i should insure it though. or at least put it in the safety deposit box. thanks for all the info.

What a lovely set.

I missed this thread, somehow, but I'm so glad you're going to keep it. It's absolutely beautiful and it would look equally fantastic with a cocktail dress as it would with a plain business suit. An absolute period classic. What a lovely thing to inherit!
