What a beautiful dog.    The cake looks delicious too......
Fancy having 50 trophies!   You both must have put in a lot of work to get to that number.
Thanks for showing us your lovely Gracie.

Here`s the latest CDL member. This is Treacle my rescue kitten. Whenever I log onto the computer, usually to read the forum, she comes and sits in the middle of the keyboard until I have her on my knee. She then pokes her head up and it`s as if she`s reading the posts too. Comical kitten !

Thanks, Lynne.  She is sooo cute, and like all babies, wants to be with Mamma.

We have a rescue Golden Retriever that spent his first 11 months in a family with three little girls under the age of 5yr.   They apparently watched a lot of TV, because he continues to watch, and responds to noises from the Animal Planet, getting up to the screen and barking.

Yes Annie she is Queen of all she surveys  Grin
She`s is one spoiled kitty but was a sickly wee thing with runny eyes and skinny frame when I got her about 3 to 4 weeks ago. She`s beginning to bloom now.
The vet says she was lucky to survive being dumped at 3 weeks old with her 2 brothers and another sibling who was already dead. The lady I got her from saved them and I gave Treacle a home when she was around 8 weeks old. I think she`ll be a handsome cat when she`s fully grown and she gives me hours of pleasure and sticks to me like glue.

Lynne Kitty is smart and knows the saying "When you are on to a good thing stick to it".
My Lucky sits on my knee when I am at the computer, it is a bit uncomfortable - for me - but you know us and our pets.
He loves the theme song from "Antiques Roadshow" and he can be anywhere and when  it comes on the TV he comes running to sit in front of the screen.  He doesn´t do this with any other music.

Hi Everyone,
Here's my pet cat, Bouncer. Bouncer is a Manx cat. This breed is from the Isle of Man originally, and as legend has it, the Manx is suppose to be part cat and part rabbit.  Its most obvious feature is its lack of a tail, or at times just a little cotton ball type of tail, as one would see on a rabbit.  I am sure it is just a legend, but Bouncer was named Bouncer because as a kitten he could jump from a sitting position straight up into the air to shoulder height just like a rabbit. His other  rabbit like feature is the way he loves to stretch out his hind legs just like a rabbit!  See the pics!

Ohhhhhhhhhh all the kitties are soooooo cute! Awestruck that little black kitty is the sweetest! My cat sugar does the same thing. As soon as I get on the computer she gets up on my lap and watches all that I type, purring the whole time. And I love those Manx cats! They are so cute all laid out on their backs. Living the good life that's for sure! Annie looks like your two have bonded quite nicely!

Dear GG:

Have you tried Zyrtec for your allergy symptoms?  I don't know if your allergies produce constant symptoms or not, or if you take something else.  I'm not allergic to cats (in fact, I have two), but my sister is and when she comes to visit, Zyrtec does the trick.  It's over the counter now and lasts for 24 hours.  I take it for symptoms I may have from time to time due to other irritants like some plants when seasons change.  I'm not a doctor so I guess you should ask your physician if it's okay for you.

Dear GG,

I have year-round allergies and take injections every two weeks to control my symptoms.  Nevertheless, when I am around cats I get itchy eyes and a runny nose.  I have found that Claritin-D works best for me.  Because the decongestant is used to make Meth, you need to ask for it at the pharmacy counter; no prescription is needed.  I have used Zyrtec, and it makes me really drowsy to the point of falling asleep, as does Benedryl.  But since you have allergies, you may already know and have first hand experience with the meds.

Can I just sy how much I love pics of Annie's cats! They always look so downright displeased. Their expressions are just adorable!

Lynne, Treacle is soooo cute! Makes me want another kitten so badly. Maybe when Amelia is older.

Ok, here's a freak out animal tale that has me shuddering and crawling all over. It was on the news here yesterday that a soldier came back from Afghanistan and a camel spider crawled out of his kitbag. It bit and killed the family dog. OMG. Their house has been abandonned until it can be found and trapped as he has small children and this thing is deadly venomous. No sign of it so far.

Now, this was in the south of England and I live about 400 miles away. The problem I have is that I don't know how far and fast these things can scurry (plus I'm thinking it made it all the way from Afghanistan, this thing has the knack of long distance travel) and I have the worst phobia. I can't sleep until this thing is caught. I know it's so far from me that it might as well still be in Afghanistan BUT I keep 'seeing' it in every room of the house.  freakout

I thought I might take your minds off of that nasty thing, and post pics of my two Siamese.  One male, Clyde and one female, Chloe.  Look, cute and cuddly!  Okay, Clyde's got attitude (he took top spot on the ladder) but Chloe is a love bird.

Lovely to see so many cat people on here!

Lynne, little Treacle is so adorable, I'm so glad she has found a loving home after all her earlier trials.

Here are my two fur babies - they are pedigree Maine Coons.  Basca is female, 6 years old.  Jasper is 5 years old and eats us out of house and home!   Grin
