Hi Jen
I`m visiting my son, daughter in law and grand daughter. My son works at Glasgow University. I`m there for a long weekend and hoping to get into the city to do some shopping etc. but the hilight will be spending some time with my cute little grand baby whose`s 10 months old. I haven`t seen her for 2 whole months !

Sounds like fun! I did my first degree at Glasgow University, in Psychology. What does your son do?

Hope you have time to browse the Argyll Arcade!

OMG my ring has arrived and it`s SO beautiful. It`s just what I wanted, David got it just right. So simple, yet so elegant and the diamond speaks for itself. A stone which needed no adornments but itself.
I saw the Fedex guy pull up outside the house and before he`d even found my package I was standing at the door in all my morning glory. Wearing my jammies, hair stuck up, no makeup and looking half mad with a huge grin on my face. I think he thought I`d escaped from a local asylum !
I even enjoyed reading all the screwed up newspaper packing in the box lol because I`m in the UK and it was so interesting to read American news. Yes I know, I`m sad , I`m so sad  Grin
I can`t wait to get to grips with DBL project 2. Something in yellow gold and I know I`m the forum`s plain Jane because much as I love seeing halos, lots of sparkly side stones and those fabulous exotic settings and coloured stones you all own, my own taste and short fat fingers seem to look best with plain and simple. I get my kicks out of seeing you guys with your fabulous creations !
I don`t know if I`ll get pics posted this week. Firstly I`m heading off to Scotland in a couple of days, secondly my middle son has borrowed my camera so I`ll need to get it back, thirdly if you think the pics of David`s trash can were original then you`ll probably get the dog`s tail, my crocs, the table legs or worse, in the background of any pics I take and lastly the weather here is so bad at the moment that my garden flowers have been blown to bits and you can`t stand upright in the wind and rain. Rest assured the pics WILL arrive one day soon.
Now I`m off to learn a right handed wave just like our Queen and then everybody is bound to notice my new RHR !

I'm so glad that it arrived safely awestruck!   Your heart is so pretty, and the setting really is quite sleek.  It makes me so happy that you love it, and you had better perfect that wave!

Yay Awestruck!!!!!!!!!  SO happy for you that it arrived before your trip!!!  It is such a perfect setting to show off that special, special diamond.  I love the sentiment behind it, and the ring seems to reflect that beautifully:  pure and simple, yet dazzling ring that is a symbol of a pure and simple, yet dazzling love and devotion.
Looking WAY forward to pics when you can do it!

I`m off to Scotland in a couple of hours. Will " see " you all when I get back.
I haven`t had enough time to hit the forum for the past few days because we`ve had torrential rain for days in this part of the UK and it`s caused major problems with my house roof. Just what I need !
A temporary repair`s been done but when I get back it`s going to mean some serious upheaval and plenty of $$$$$. That`s the DBL fund gone !
On a lighter note I wore my simple heart ring to work yesterday and my colleagues all loved it.
Take care everybody.
