lol, i currently have 4 tragus piercings, two in each ear, and 1 rook in my right ear, 2 cartilage, one in each ear and one lobe piercing in my right ear with three on my left.  this is one of the reasons i dont buy many earrings, i would have to buy quite a few to fill up all of the spaces!  a very expensive project!  my teen years where spent in manhattan's wonderful village, lol.  yea, i used to have more in my ears but i let a lot of them close!

i have never had a problem with a piercing rejecting....and i have some in places where i know they have a tendency to reject.  the only thing that i can really note is that when i got the second tragus in each ear they took about 1 year to fully heal...a major PITA

Ye-owwwwwwwch! <Cringes>  That sounds painful!
I definitely learned some new words tonight...tragus, rook...who knew?!!!  I thought I was adventuresome b/c I have a second hole in each ear, although I hardly ever wear earrings in them b/c they always get really sore when I do.  I've had the second one for years.
Though I've been wearing my new DBL yellows in them some lately!!  But I can only wear something in the second holes for about one day, then can't anymore for awhile - it's really annoying.  Anything I can do about that?  To make it tolerate it better?

piercings get irritated when they arent used enough.  i know this sounds dtrange, but when i always wear something, it's always comfy.  if i take one out for awhile, and then i put it in again later, they will be a bit sore for up to a week.  i havent worn any earrings except for my rook which i cant get out for over 2 months.  i just put then all in tonight and they will hurt for a good week.  best thing that usually works for me is forcing myself to wear earrings again and taking them out and cleaning the holes and the earrings with peroxide twice per day, usually before i go to bed and when i wake up.  ill try to get some pics soon.

i have had soooo many small diamond studs, for my earrings, for my nose ring, and i ALWAYS lost them!!!  i only have one pair of super small champagne diamond studs now and that is because i just bought them while i was in the caribbean!  i havent even worn them yet as im waiting to get the backs changed so i wont pop them off.  itll be awhile before i get around to it im sure!  i usually just wear cheap studs rom those little accessory stores like claires.   even still, i have to buy all new sets every 2 months or so.  if i were to fill all of my stud wearable piercings with diamonds, i would have to buy 11 studs!  some day...some day...

That is so true about non-used piercings.  I have a second hole in my left ear that I have not consistently put anything in since high school or college.  I try every once in a while now and I actually feel nauseous!  I keep telling myself that is impossible, but it happens every time!  It gets very itchy too!  I have thought about forcing myself through it and getting another on the other side for cosmos, but I don't think I'd wear them that much.

Okay, given my fear of needles, reading this thread has made me lightheaded and a little nauseous.  I really don't want to look at those pics of mock pierced ears again as long as I live!  My skin is crawling as I speak!  Oh I am such a wuss!

I agree, you have to wear some studs constantly for a week or so to stop the hole hurting.  I wear my small asschers in my second holes all the time and I basically don't know they're there.  When I first started wearing something there again, they were sore and they itched.  Drove me nuts for a week or so!

After reading all this  I am glad it was NOT the fashion in my time.  I have never liked pain (discomfort) and I wouldnīt have had my ears pierced three times if I wasnīt so hooked on earrings.  That tragus one, just the idea of doing it makes me shudder.  Brave girl Sanchica.  DJ I feel a bit nauseous too when I see the "ear".IHADP    I too have learned words I never knew existed from this thread  we are being "piercing"  educated.  Letīs stop at ears ok?

I had my tummy button pierced when I was in my early 40`s and it hadn`t become popular back then. My kids were horrified and asked wouldn`t I rather learn knitting instead and my youngest son who was round 9 at the time promised he`d disown me if I ever had it on show.
I did it on a whim, can honestly say i never felt a thing and kept it undercover until I could remove the dressing 24 hours later. I waited 2 whole days for hubby to notice it and in the end had to stand in front of him, lift my shirt and say " LOOK WILL YA ".
He shook his head and said geez not more jewellery ....

LOL...Awestruck that is too funny...and TRUE!!       I think nose piercings look really cool with a little tiny diamond.     I would "consider" something like that if I didn't have to think of what it would feel like to blow my nose or had a sinus infection.   UGh... Undecided

Sanchica.... I too would love to see some of your piercings.    little tiny diamonds would be so gorgeous...you might look like a sparkle fairy...LOL!!

the nose ring is really no big deal at all!  i have mine done with a needle which actually was a bit if a shocker, you tear up no matter what as there is a nerve in your nose right around where they pierce it.  but as far as having a cold or whatnot, once the piercing is healed completely you can put it in or take it out as often as necessary.  that and my nose ring never gets in the way since the stud is made to be a nose ring.  it has a very short post with a little ball at the end so it wont pop out.  very clever design.  i will take pics as soon as my camera cooperates!

Oh so THAT's how they do the nose studs to keep them in.  I have always wondered about that too, luvn - and kept envisioning trying to get a 'back' on it up your nose...ewwwwwwwww...lol

I once went to an Australia Day dinner and a young man with lots and lots of piercings sat next to me and we had a very nice conversation and we ended up in fits when he  described how  he once got tangled up (literally) with a girl who also had a nose ring, someone had to help them break it up.
