I'm sad too;  this one got bumped from the top of my list when some new stones came in.  I don't think that David even got a photo of this as a ring.  Bawling Ohhhhhhhhh wellllllllllll. He'll just have to find another one (or two) for us now.  Roll Eyes

Well, it's probably just because I am a  picturewhore but I would really love it if David would post pictures of his finished work, even if it's already sold to someone else.  I love to get ideas for my next purchase this way.

That pear was right up my alley!  I've exhausted my jewelry fund for a long while, but I took a long look at that one!

No, no, PL, the purchased pear wasn't my doing.  I may be up to some mischief, but that's not it.  Wink

Oooooh! Who bought this??? You are going to love, love, love it. It is one stunning diamond! I traded it up with many second thoughts and regrets!

I would love to see it in its new setting. Here it is in its old setting, where it looked magnificent. Such a beautiful stone, I hope you enjoy it.

No, Sorry, DL.  I was being a sparkly  icon_porc the day I went to DBL and I only asked to see the ruby rings with 2ct centers.  Roll Eyes  I'll be less of a sparkly snob next time and give equal opportunity to ALL sizes...

Don't leave out this guy!

In this case the buyer is having us set the 2.25 into a cathedral style white and pink solitaire....

Which means the ring is available as a semi mount.....

If you could find a square sapphire (would a clip-cornered stone fit this semi??),  well, wouldn't that be lovely.  Cheesy  Or a yellow diamond.  OOOOOOOH, or a brown with some orange or yellow in it.... that creates a DELICIOUS mental image.

I've always loved this ring, although if I had $45K to spend, I'd invariably go for a big colorless stone rather than a smaller pink.  (Pinks are beautiful, though, don't get me wrong.  I just find the cost off-putting.)  But as a semi-mount, the possibilities abound.

Yes!  That's exactly what I told David!  It definitely needs a colored square center stone unless someone wants an engagement ring.  Actually, this mounting accommodates a 2+carat stone, so an ER isn't out of the realm of possibility.
