How about not just sold, but back in rotation!  I noticed that CH's pink pear is on the home page---what did she get instead?  She's so sneaky Smiley

Hi guys,
Yes, that really lovely .68 carat ring was sold.
Since it was a total surprise to the recipient, we did not adjust the size of the ring before we shipped it.  Just to show you how mall jewelers was work: it was brought into a very large nationwide mall jeweler to have the size adjusted.
Whoever looked at it at this mall jeweler (name starts with J), told them that there was no chance it was a natural diamond.  When our client told the salesperson that it was in fact, a diamond with a GIA report, the salesperson still insisted that it was not a natural diamond.
I guess the moral of the story is, be very careful where you take your ring to have the size adjusted.
The ring will be sent back to us for free sizing.

Ugh, that's awful.  It sounds like that J place was trying to get that client to return the ring to you and buy from them I bet...

I don't think J even has GIA or any cert diamonds other than ABC certs...

Ugh, what is wrong with them?!?!  I'm sure if you  had a Triple X RB, they'd say it was a CZ...  Grin

They probably said "What did you pay for it?" and they told them and the store knew they could not match it.  THAT is a perfect example of how a local jeweler does not understand colored diamonds.

Those folks are just stupid. It's because they've never seen a yellow diamond.

They drive me crazy.  They will look at Ms. Fancy Pants and then lead me over to a BA-LOOOO radiated band and say "I bet you have never seen a blue diamond."  DUH!  A radiated blue...YEAH AT SAM'S you big goof ball.  I say "Oh are those natural blue diamonds?"  They will say "YES!"  It gets me everytime.   I tell them about DBL and tell them they really need to educate themselves to be the best sales person they can be.

That may be very snobby of me...but I am in sales and I cannot imagine what a MD would think if I were throwing out some total BS!  I think they honestly do not know the difference.

I would HOPE, but who knows... I read somewhere once (don't recall all the details of the article) but it was saying how sales associates in jewelry stores have the shortest career there.  They quit and leave in herds!
