Hi everyone!
Glutton for punishment that I am, I returned to the fateful site of my "incident" on 12/17/07 involving a broken arm.
I realized that the last injury I'd had skiing was in about 1985 on the same mountain ( Ram's Head) in almost the same spot!
Look at the photo below- Killington has 6 mountains.
To say nothing of the fact that I've skied all over the US . I used to plan my sales trips around places where I could lock up my suitcase, then go nite skiing.

Of course I had to visit the jewelers in Vermont frequently back in those days.

The point is, I have not had any serious injuries expect a broken rib, and a broken arm - which occurred 20 years apart, and in almost the same spot!

Yours truly.....

It was absolutely gorgeous on the sunny day- but brutally cold.
Once you were skiing down the mountain you don;t notice it as much but on the lift? Holy cow.
Any little bit of exposed skin is burning in a few moments.

David

These photos are breath taking, excuse the pun. I must agree that it must be so much fun to ski, never gotten round to it myself.

I prefer warmer destinations myself, a sandy beach warm waters and a fruit punch or two.

It looks like you had alot of fun, glad you got to ski without mishap this time.

Thanks, David.  Great photos.  Look at that clear blue sky!

Glad you had fun and returned safe and sound.

Thanks guys!
One of my favorite parts of skiing is being out in the woods in these wonderland like conditions....

WOW!  I bet it was super cold!  That does look like fun, but I am afraid that I would be on my bum the whole time.

Bawling tantrum Bawling tantrum Bawling tantrum Bawling (pardon me, I'm just a wee bit jealous)  With DH is such bad shape, we had to put off all skiing for a WHOLE YEAR!   1237387oyy519k20r

It looks divine, D.  I hope I don't forget how before we can get back out there!

There's still time this year bloo....

One of my favorite parts of the hotel we stayed was the pool.
You enter the pool indoors. The water is kept at a super comfortable 95degrees.
There's a little curtain, you swim outside and and enjoy the warm water.
Your hair actually freezes but you dont feel cold.

Wow. That is one incredibly beautiful place. Cold, cold, cold!

I'd love to try the swimming pool, that sounds amazing.

So glad you all made it back in one piece this year  Grin

Looks like a beautiful place.  Glad you're back in one piece.  I use to love winter sports, but old age and a bad back calls me to warm, sand and water for vacation.  I'm on my butt just walking out to get the mail! Grin
