What you need to do is this:

Copy the last part of the youtube address, after the = sign
Using your example
http://www.youtube.c.../watch?v=l5VhB8YnGyY

the string would be
l5VhB8YnGyY

Put that in the entry window, select the the text, and press the "youtube" icon above

Does that make sense?

If you use the "Preview" button, to the right of the "Post" button (below the box where you type the text when you make an entry), you'll be able to see what you post looks like before adding it to the board - including pictures, videos and all. If something doesn't work, you can then work it out and keep editing the message without having all your attempts posted. You can keep using the Preview feature as many times as necessary.

Then, once you have everything as you want, "Post" it to the board.
