OK ladies I need your help! I am trying to decide on my new wedding ring. Huh? I am kicking myself for not buying this ring when I had the chance. Cry It was right in my budget! So since it is no longer available and anything similar is out of my range. I have to come up with something I will be happy with for the next 10 years.

I bet David could get another 1.20 or thereabouts. He just bought a boatload in that size range. Ask him BigRed.

So I have been searching all DBL sites and found a couple of things. Tell me what you think! I wish I could afford a pink diamond but I can't! So I was wondering what I should do with these stones and still remain within my budget. Here's a few stones that are within my price range.

The third stone is right in my range and might be able to afford a pink halo. Last night when I was thinking about it, I was staring at my favorite earrings and boom....I had a thought! I know they'll be hard to see but it is the only picture I have of them. Most of you know that I love spessertine garnet. Do you think if I had my trillion garnets on the sides of the yellow stones I attached up above, would it bring out the yellow or drown the yellow?

They are below my amethyst bracelet and next to my emerald earrings. They are this great shade of orange. So I'm just confusing myself and I need your help. Do you like my idea or do you have any ideas on getting the perfect NEW wedding ring? Oh and I also like this ring but it is a little out of my range. But if I cut a few things out like food and cake for my renewal ceremony. I might be able to swing it!SO HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!

BR...I bet if you give David a call and tell him what you're looking for, he'll be able to find something. I talked to him last night for the first time and he's very nice and helpful Smiley

BTW...I have to say I LOVE that brown diamond set in the rose gold. It's so unique! Noone will ever have your ER if you get that!!!

This part is tough but fun. I guess if we had unlimited funds it would not be tough, only fun.

If you wanted to do the half moons, you could do the third one. When the time comes, you can call David send him a photo of that which you loved and he'll do the best he can with that budget to recreate a ring like you like. That ring is really one of our signature styles.

In other words, he can track down a similar diamond and side stones.

And the yellows sparkle like mad. Once you have it, you really won't be disappointed it's not a pink. And you can always do what snooper did and surround a diamond with pink melee. The brownish pink melee would be less expensive and you could do a light yellow center with the pinks surrounding it.

Oh, I know this will be fun for you.. but can be torture too. So many great things to choose from!

Maybe I could play with photoshopping you some examples using orange side stones, and then a yellow with pink meleehalo?

You know, you could always get just the main diamond you really want in a simple solitiare or engraved solitaire setting and then upgrade the mounting down the road ??

And I have to say, I think it's cool that you're wanting a yellow or color diamond for your e-ring. I don't see that too often, but I love how unique it will be! You GO girl and get what you love!

Goodness BigRed - this is just great!  I am so excited that you are getting ready to do this!

I say if you can get #3 with a pink halo, DO IT!  Although I love the brown round in the rose gold too.  Those would be the two options I would torture myself with - LOL!

Like WM says though, if the yellow with the half moons is what sings to you, call David and tell him what you want and what your budget is.  You know he will make sure the perfect ring is adorning your finger.  Snooper has the brownish pinks in her halo and she says they look nothing but pink.

I am so excited to see what you choose!

Oh BR - what a fun and complicated decision! As you know, I have a light yellow center for my Ering, and I love it.

I really like the ring with the half moon sides.  Of radiant rings, I'm pretty sure that the half moons and the traps are my favorites.

As far as a halo goes, after seeing the pink/yellow bracelet David has, I think the color combo is quite nice.  It would certainly be something amazingly unique.

So many choices... I'm sure when you're ready, you'll find the right thing.

David is really good about staying within people's budgets.  I even had some money to spare after getting my ering - how many times can a person say that?

Here's some photoshop versions for you.  I'm working on my laptop these days and the colors may be different than what you all see on your full size monitors Huh? But it's a start anyway.

1st are with spess trillion sides. Hard to get the color right... but there ya go.
One in white gold, one in yellow gold.

And on all these I tried to make the center stone a little lighter yellow so it would
match more the color of the centers you were looking at.

The halos are #1 yellow center, with rose gold halo, pink diamonds.
#2 yellow center, rose gold halo with white diamonds.
#3 yellow center, white gold halo with pink diamonds.

I knew I could count on you guys. The one with the half moons is was grabbed my attention first. But with all the great rings some of you have gotten lately, I started to think more creatively. That's what got me thinking about the spess. I already have them, they are a great color. I 'm just not sure how it would effect the yellow. I was thinking of the ring all in yellow gold too. I just want something that oozes me! And I know I'll call David when I'm ready I just want a few ideas to work with right now I'm just to confused. I'd be one of those annoying people he loves who asks to many questions. I want to call him when I have THE vision of what I want.

OH thanks so much Rhonda! That really helps! To me it looks like the orange might really bring out the yellow. I also like the rose gold with pinks. What do you guys think of the orange? Maybe I'll just send the earrings to David and get him to put them next to the stone and send me a picture. I want them to compliment the stone not over power it!

Wow Rhonda, that is amazing!

BR, you could ask David to send a photo of the yellow with the orange sides next to it.  My guess is that the orange would make the yellow appear deeper.  When I had my yellow halos made I was worried that the darker yellows in the melee would make the centers appear too light, but I think they actually made the whole thing look more intense.  I would definitely go with all yellow gold though if you choose that option.

And, I love that brown round in rose gold!

I happen to love the yellow in the pink halo, especially now that I see the photoshop version.  Either way this is going to be a very special piece.

If it were me, I would think about what other pieces you wear all the time and which option will compliment them.  I like pieces that unique, but I want them to work with at least something else I have.

That is so true GracefulLion! I was thinking the same thing! I do wear spess. all the time especially on my right hand. I usually have on either my spess. cross or the trillion earrings. Usually I have rose gold mixed in one of my stacks and that would match too! So what do you guys think? Would the orange add flavor to the yellow because the last stone is described as a light yellow? or Do you think it would distract from the main stone?

BR, do you know the mm measurements of your spess trills?

Rhonda I am continually impressed with your photoshop skills - just excellent.  I want to be like you when I grow up!

The size of the trills is going to be especially important.  They have to fit with the center stone.

I don't have the measurements but I have a friend that is a jeweler and I can get him to give me the exact size. I think they would match up really well with that stone. I have one more question, if I did go with the spess sides, what do you think of double prongs on the main stone with simple prongs for the spess? Oh and Jessica thanks for your idea! That's why I started this thread for ideas and suggestions so any input is really helpful!

It would be good to know thier size BR.

And I hate to say it, but... depending on the size of the trills, the ring MAY need to be custom made (which will add substantially to the cost). If David had a stock setting that would fit them, that would be great!

Well I found a ruler so I have a rough estimate. Between 4 and 5mm. Bigger then 4 and a hair under 5.

So, if you guesstimate them at 4.5 to 5mm that's a really good size! Not too small and not too large IMO.  Now what are the measurements of those diamonds you were looking at?
