There's an episode of Unsolved History solely about the Hope Diamond.  It's on the Science Channel today, though it was shot in 2005.  They talk about how diamonds are made and traded, and reconstruct the Hope Diamond.  In case you want to watch it!

I just saw last week a documentary on "The Curse of the Hope Diamond".

I downloaded it free from iTunes!

It took 5 hours to download, but it was GREAT.

It showed the history of it, even did some re-enactments etc.

And ended with the Smithsonian's contest to design a new setting for it.

It was very interesting.
