Squeeeeeee! I'm having a new sparkly!!!!

I have spent hours in conference with Trinkette, and been through every item on the DBL site with my husband (he was magnificent, showed no sign of boredom for at least the first two hours), chatted with anyone who will listen and of course bugged everyone here with my decision making process. (Ah, pondering the rolling ring....did you think that process was ever going to end?)   

So. The rolling ring. Well, everyone who said it wasn't a smart choice for me was absolutely right. I'm (hopefully) still losing weight, so now is not the time to buy a ring that can't really be adjusted for size.

In the end, I narrowed it down to two options, a loose stone for a pendant, and a ring. Well about 30 rings actually, but who is counting?? Ha. Well, I've finally (finally) picked a new sparkly....

It's my daughter's birthstone, so this will be a nice one to pass onto her one day (since the more I wear my asscher maternity band, the less I can see myself parting with it hehe). I never did get a graduation present when i finished my post-graduate studies, so this can mark the even. (I like sentimental jewellery).

Oh, and I'm really excited about it. Did I mention that? When i was picking out my maternity band, I had it narrowed down to five options. This was one of them, and now I only have 2 left to hoard.

Oh YAY! I'm so glad you all like it and think it will suit me. I must have driven Trinkette insane with my indecision spectacular!

 I had an emerald ring once before and it was nice, but not DBL, so while I know I love emeralds, I can't wait to love a DBL emerald. As for the asschers, well, you know me and step cuts...

I'm not looking for the Fed Ex truck quite yet, but I emailed David this morning, and about an hour later, the Fed Ex truck rolled up. I was stunned and delighted (but he handed me some stuff I ordered as Christmas gifts for family). Hehe.

Fed Ex even with gifts for others is a good thing IMO.

I really do love this choice.  I know I said not so much earlier but I had it in my head that your DD's birthstone was ruby and not emerald.  If I had that straight I know it would have been my very first choice for you!

I'm jealous of your step cuts.  I still would love some for myself!

I don't have it yet - needs a little sizing tweak, then it will be at the mercy of the International Shipping Gods for a while.

Stuff gets from Manhattan to Edinburgh in record time, then the whole Scottish approach to customer service kicks in... mañana (or possibly something less urgent).
