To add to the confusion, here is another Iveagh tiara which I don't think has anything to do with the windsors or gloucester familys.

The other Iveagh Tiara
From a continuous line of channel-set diamonds encircling the head rise tall curvilinear elements enclosing collet-set diamonds on knife-edge supports, which give additional height to the design. Light but imposing, this all-around crown has been worn during this century by the wives of the first, second, and third earls of Iveagh. In 1906, the first Lady Iveagh brought a party from her country house, Elveden, to a ball given by Earl Cadogan: she was wearing white with ropes of pears and this crown placed high on hair dressed "á la Marquise."

this is a close up of Sarah Duchess of York's tiara. Also made by Garrard. Sarah got to pick this one out herself and the Queen paid for it. I guess she got to keep it in her divorce settlement. I still find it surprising that with the Queen owning 50++ tiaras in her private collection that she didn't loan her any.

The winner of the Miss Russia 2010 beauty pageant, Irina Antonenko from the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, has not only won a cash prize of $100,000 and the right to represent Russia at the upcoming Miss World contest, she was also crowned with the most expensive pageant tiara in the world.

Created by the Yuvelirny Teatr jewelry house, the new Miss Russia crown was unveiled at Imperial Park Hotel & SPA, just outside of Moscow, before being bestowed upon Irina, the pageant’s 2010 winner on March 8.

Estimated to be worth over $1million, this dazzling crown is made of 18k white gold adorned with 2,358 diamonds totaling 62 carats and fourteen rare pearls, one of which measures at an enormous 19 mm.

Hmmm.... this one reminds me of Moscow  Grin

Lady Sarah Chatto wearing a floral tiara on her wedding day. she is the daughter of Princess Margaret and was a bridesmaid at Princess Diana's wedding.

OMC!!  Bad qat!   Although I don't understand why some wealthy Brits don't invest in decent orthodontia for their offspring.  That and a good brow waxing would fix her right up in a year or 6.

Indeed.  Reminds me of Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty's dress - at least the neckline.  I always loved that best of all his princess dresses.  Although I preferred Merryweather's blue version to Flora's pink.

The Bowknot tiara

The lower edge of the tiara is formed by ribbons in swags tied at intervals into bowknots surmounted by leafy sprays tipped with diamonds. Between the bows are vertical elements studded with pink topazes and joined together by festoons of collet diamonds overlapping the ribbon swags below. Thiere is a line of collet-set diamonds above. The combinations of swags, festoons, ribbons, bowknots, and leaves is in the eighteenth-century tradition, revived as "garland style" in the Belle Epoque.

Chaumet, Paris.

I just love this photo... so much bling on display. this is a photo of 'the ageless diamond exhibit' it was sponsored by DeBeers and Christie's in London in 1959 showcasing various important diamonds from Britain's Royal Families. I don't recognize most of the tiaras, but it looks like the Queen's russian fringe in the top center, and 'grannies chips' (cullinen diamonds) just below it. I also believe the Spencer family, Marie Antoinette, tiara is in the middle on the right.

Hmmm. I happened to come across these photos of Queen Mary wearing this sapphire tiara. I haven't been able to find out what the tiara was called, but I think it was dismantled. It looks like the brooch that was given to Princess Diana, as a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth the Queen mother, may have come from this tiara..

I must have waaaaaaaaaaaay to much free time.

"The “Argyle Pink Diamond Tiara”, as it’s been named, is valued at $2 million dollars and was produced using pink diamonds from Rio Tinto’s Argyle mine in Australia."

Perhaps the dutchess takes a more casual approach to necklaces when not wearing the royal jewels.
